Mark Fuhrman goes to Peru and gets the truth about the Joran ver der Sloot case

Mark Fuhrman is a Fox news contributor and he made a trip to Peru to get the facts about the murder of Stephany Flores Martinez for Greta van Susteren’s “On the Record” TV show.

It turns out that the cause of death for Stephany was a brain hemorrhage caused by a blow to the back of the head.  Stephany struck her head on the bed frame, but it was more than just a fall onto the bed frame.  Fuhrman said that her head “was driven into the bed frame.”

Stephany was found lying on her back with blood running out of one ear and out of her nose.  Fuhrman said that Stephany had not been stabbed; he didn’t mention a baseball bat, so apparently a baseball bat was not used to kill her.  The time of death was consistent with the time that Stephany was with Joran van der Sloot. There was no sign of attempted rape.

Prior to watching Greta’s show, I watched the Nancy Grace show.  The woman who was filling in for Nancy said in a very dramatic voice that the cops in the case told reporters that Stephany had been killed with a baseball bat and the bat was found in the room.

Enrique Flores, one of Stephany’s brothers, said in a TV interview that Stephany was missing an eyeball and that her face was unrecognizable.  The cops said that Stephany’s neck was not broken, but she had suffered trauma  to the head.  Stephany’s father and two brothers all went to the hotel room to view the body, and her brother Richardo identified the body.

If this new information is correct, Stephany was probably pushed by Joran and she hit her head on the bed frame.  Joran fled the scene instead of calling for a doctor to save her.  Now, the only question is why did Stephany go with Joran to his hotel room and what were they arguing about when he pushed her.  A hotel employee said that she had heard them arguing.

Update, June 6, 2010, 9:20 p.m.

Mark Fuhrman was on “Geraldo at Large” tonight and he said that,  so far, there is “no act connected to homicide” in Joran’s behavior.  In other words, going in and out of a hotel room does not prove murder. He did confirm that Joran left the hotel room for coffee at 8:10 a.m. and then came back to the room.

Roberto Blades, the brother of Ruben Blades, was at the casino and spoke with Joran that night. He said that Joran was talking about picking up girls for sex.  He mentioned that Joran and Stephany were sitting together at the poker table for 3 hours before they left together.  Joran was losing, but he only lost around $300. Blades said that he recognized Joran and tried to warn the casino management that they had a dangerous person in their casino, but they didn’t pay any attention.

Update, June 7, 2010, 8:06  a.m.

Stephany was not wearing any jewelry and was not carrying a purse when she entered the hotel room with Joran.  If his motive was robbery, he had already robbed her before going into the room.  Elton Garcia, another poker player who was playing in the tournament, said that he and Joran had played at the table with Stephany four times in the month of May.  Apparently she had won the $1745 on a previous day, not on Sunday when she was killed.

Joran turned himself in; he was not arrested.  The police counted his money when they searched his bag.  He had a laptop with him when he surrendered.

The video tape of him going out for coffee and returning with two cups of coffee has not been shown to the public.  When he checked out  of his hotel, around 9 a.m. he did not ask for his passport.  He was not carrying a cup of coffee, as previously reported.  There is no information yet on what happened to the second cup of coffee.  When the hotel worker first knocked on the door of his room on Wednesday, the volume on the TV was turned up.  When she finally opened the door with a key, the volume was normal.  Did someone enter the room after Joran left the hotel, turn up the TV volume, and then turn the volume back to normal before they left?

  1. Mark may be the reason more people have been violated and are now not alive. Try, instead, to just deal with the facts.

    • I don’t understand your comment. How has Mark Fuhrman caused more people to have been violated and they are no longer alive?

  2. Het is inderdaad de vraag of zij zich verweerd heeft. Joran had ook beter een dokter moeten inschakelen, het slachtoffer niet aan haar lot moeten overlaten. Het is een zeer trieste zaak.

  3. I agree, there is probably more to the story we haven’t yet heard that instigated the battering. And, from what I have seen so far, looks like the dead girl may have been the one to instigate the scenario.

    • If Joran had wanted to murder Stephany, he could have strangled her with his bare hands. Instead, she hit her head on a bed frame. I am sure that something that Stephany said or did instigated the violence. Joran is denying that he killed her. But it doesn’t matter what actually happened; he will be convicted of murder and killed in prison, if he doesn’t kill himself first.

  4. I don’t believe Mark could get the truth from even a grapefruit, he is a disgraced former officer who seriously botched up the Simpson case.

    • Mark Fuhrman knows what it’s like to be falsely accused of a crime. He approached the case objectively and got the truth. I think that all the lies told about Stephany’s death, up to this point, will hurt the case. The Flores family has been lying in an attempt to make it look like a vicious murder by a psycho when it was more like manslaughter.

      • Joran may walk on the charge. Just like in the Natalee Holloway case, speculations ran rampid, but courts don’t rely upon rampid speculations. I think in this current case, it very well could be a case of self-defense that Joran needed to take, and he simply took off because he was scared, which, if true, is only a misdemeanor.

        • I just saw the new movie “Killer” today and there is a scene where a young girl attacks Ashton Kutcher; she was kicking his ass until something happens — can’t tell you what it was because it would spoil the movie for people who haven’t seen it. Stephany was a lesbain and maybe she was an expert in martial arts. It is possible that she attacked Joran, and he pushed her in self defense, causing her to hit her head on the bed frame.
