Dr. Oz TV show and acid reflux disease…

Filed under: Health, True Crime, TV shows — Tags: , , — furtherglory @ 8:08 am

Yesterday I tuned into the Dr. Oz TV show just in time to hear Kim Kardashian tell Dr. Oz that her father Robert Kardashian died from esophageal cancer which was brought on by acid reflux disease.  You can read about esophageal cancer here. On the show, Dr. Oz explained the cause of esophageal cancer, but didn’t offer any solution for preventing acid reflux disease.

About twenty years ago, I suffered from very severe acid reflux disease and I might have died at the young age of 59, as Robert Kardashian did, if I had not discovered the  cure for it.  Eating a raw turnip at bedtime is the absolute cure for indigestion and acid reflux disease, which usually comes on at night.  The turnip has to be raw, and it has to be fresh enough to have a strong bitter taste.  I now grow my own turnips and I have perfect digestion, which is one of the great joys of life.

After I cured my acid reflux disease, I stopped eating a turnip at bed time.  That’s when I discovered that turnips also promote sleep.  I now eat a turnip at bed time in order to fall asleep fast.

  1. Its like you read my mind! You seem to grasp so much approximately this,
such as you wrote the e book in it or something. I feel that you could do
with a few percent to pressure the message home a little
bit, but instead of that, this is magnificent blog. A great read.
    I’ll definitely be back.

  2. When food is taken in as part of the digestive process, it will normally pass from the mouth to the throat, and then into the esophagus in order to pass to the stomach before it moves on to the intestines. At the opening that lies between the stomach and the esophagus is a small ring known as the lower esophageal sphincter, or LES. The LES functions to close off to prevent stomach acid from rising up. When it fails to operate properly, acid reflux is the result. There can be many causes for this to happen to someone. ‘

  5. Raw turnip – that is fascinating and I have not heard of that before.

I get angry at the medical profession continuing to prescribe acid reflux medication which either blocks the production of stomach acid or neutralizes stomach acid. The fDA put out a press release on the 25 May 2010 advising that long term use (longer than 12 months) of acid reflux medication can cause brittle bones.

This makes sense as we need stomach acid to break down our food and allow our body to extract vital nutrients from our food. By blocking or neutralizing stomach acid – the body is unable to absorb calcium (and other vital nutrients) as easily which leads to brittle bones. Very few people associate their broken hip with years of taking antacids.

Raw turnip may be the answer.
