Whatever happened to Glenn Beck?

I was a big fan of the Glenn Beck show, which used to air at 2 p.m. in California.  The show started on January 19, 2009 and was on for two and a half years.  It was a sad day when I saw his last show on June 30, 2011.  It was like a death, but Glenn is not really gone.  He is still around on his syndicated radio talk show (which I never listened to) and on his GBTV network.  I have not signed up yet for GBTV, but I suppose I will have to pay to follow Glenn from now on.  Today, I watched a documentary here that Glenn decided to offer for free.

In the text that comes before the documentary, I was startled to read this:

“….if you fear the Lord (generally a good idea) you know God says that He will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse it.”

Funny, I never heard God say that.  Does God talk to Glenn Beck?  Did God make a YouTube video about this?

The first part of the documentary shows Glenn Beck on his trip to Auschwitz in August this year.  Early in the documentary, it is mentioned that there were 35 million people in Poland.  But there were only 6,266 righteous Gentiles who tried to save Jews.  Glenn asks why there weren’t more people in Poland who stood up for the Jews.  Was that a rhetorical question?  Glenn Beck is a self-educated man.  How come he never learned why the Poles hated the Jews?

The way that I heard it, from a Jewish tour guide on my trip to Poland years ago, is that the population of Poland consisted of 10% aristocratic people who were land owners while 90% of the people in Poland were landless peasants who were worse off than slaves.  The poor people had to work the land for the landowners who were the royalty that lived in mansions and sometimes did not even live in Poland.  The royalty did not go out into the fields and supervise the hard working peasants. — No, they had slave drivers for that and the slave drivers were the Jews who contracted to run the huge farms and sell the harvest in exchange for a percentage of the profits.  So the Jews made lots of money while the hard-working peasants got virtually nothing.  So, of course, they resented the Jews.

The few poor people in Poland who owned a bit of land had to use the services of a middleman, always a Jew, who would take their harvest to market. There was always a middleman involved, who made money without having to do any back breaking work on a farm.  The Jews were the cattle buyers, who were the middle men for the farmers who raised cattle or pigs. This also happened in Germany and it caused the Gentiles to hate the Jews. Allegedly, this is why Hitler wanted the Jews to work, although he himself never did a day’s work in his life.  But I digress.

Early in the documentary, there is some old black and white footage of a survivor of Woebblin, a sub-camp of the Neuengamme concentration camp that was liberated by the 82nd Airborne in May 1945.  This is shown in the middle of some footage of the liberated prisoners of Auschwitz.  The Auschwitz survivors look fairly good, considering that they were in a death camp, so a pathetic survivor of another camp had to be brought in to tell the truth in Glenn Beck’s documentary.  Glenn’s claim is that, on his GBTV, “Truth lives here.”

In another part of the documentary, Glenn says, regarding the people who stand up for Israel, “they are standing and have stood against all odds.”  As he says this, we see a photo of some skinny legs, but not the faces of the prisoners.  I recognized the legs as part of a photo taken at Buchenwald, not at Auschwitz.  I thought he was talking about Auschwitz. He says that his trip to Auschwitz is a “search for courage in the face of evil.”  His trip is a “Cry of despair and a Warning to Humanity.”  So, let’s see some photos of the evil that was Auschwitz.

Sorry, but I disapprove of photos that are misleading in a documentary.  The real photos of the survivors of Auschwitz-Birkenau are from a film made by the Soviet liberators about a month after the camp was liberated.  The survivors look too good, so some other photos have to be interjected in order to show the horror of Auschwitz.

In the documentary, there is very little footage of Glenn and his entourage inside Auschwitz-Birkenau.  He is shown walking down the camp road in Birkenau and very briefly inside the main camp.  Then, it is on to Israel; the theme of the documentary is “Take a stand for Israel.”

I have to admit that I don’t understand Glenn Beck.  I always thought that he was an anti-Semite.  He used to make fun of “spooky dude” George Soros.  Did Soros put a contract out on his life?  Whose side is Glenn Beck really on?  Is he trying to save his reputation so that he can continue to earn a living?

GBTV officially starts on September 12, 2011.  I am hoping to see more footage of his trip to Auschwitz-Birkenau.

This quote from Glenn Beck’s website explains the reason for going to Auschwitz before his trip to Israel to Restore Courage:

There is perhaps no single location representing all of history that better depicts pure evil, man’s greatest inhumanity to his fellow man, than the stark, cold set of buildings in southern Poland called Auschwitz-Birkenau. During WWII more than one million people, mostly Jews were executed there. Murdered in cold blood. The Nazis called it “the final solution of the Jewish question in Europe.”

From 1942 through 1944 Jews were delivered to the camp’s gas chambers from all over Europe.

But in the face of unthinkable horror there were people who displayed courage beyond imagination. Regular men, women, and children who put their very lives on the line in defense of righteousness. It was a small but important triumph of the human spirit then and equally important lesson for us today.

I wonder if Glenn left the main camp road to go over to see the brick buildings that housed the women prisoners.  I agree that there is nothing that depicts evil more than those buildings.  It is a miracle that so many Jewish women survived.  Dr. Mengele was the women’s doctor at Auschwitz.  How was he able to take care of the health of the women in that environment?  When I went inside those brick buildings, I immediately turned against Himmler.  What was he thinking?

  1. The first sign that Glenn is a fraud is that he is a professed Mormon … A Mormon that never preaches from the book of Mormon but instead preaches from the bible … It just goes to show you that Glenn believes one thing but preaches another. P.S I also believe that the god of the bible is actually the devil and Jesus is the devil in disguise , aka wolf in sheep’s clothing a Trojan horse for the gentiles.

  2. I can never understand anyone who is not proud to be German, it is important that we all stand by what we believe in but Glenn Beck was ashamed of his country and this to me is not good and makes him unlikable in my eyes.

    • Anyone who says that they are proud to be German or to be of German heritage would be condemned in Germany and in America because of the Holocaust. Anyone who claimed to be a proud German would be called a “neo-Nazi” and would become an object of hatred and scorn. Glenn Beck’s family probably changed their original German name to Beck in World War I when the stories of German atrocities were first told by the British.

  3. I can understand, why some people were interested in Glenn Beck shows. He was giving out some information about the powers that be, but in his own clownish style. Most of people didn’t take him seriously, but at some point he overstepped the boundaries and his zionist masters decided to punish him. He still does not qualify for the ultimate victimhood thorn crown. He was misleading his audience all the time.
And now, he has revealed his true colors.
He is just a useful goy, nothing more.

  4. I can’t understand what you ever liked about Glenn Beck; he’s a traitor to his own, for one thing. He has said he was ashamed to be German. I think you liked his message, so I guess you are something of a super partriot of the red/white/blue, or you think he represented the “good old days” of America. OR you thought he was an antisemite!! That’s funny.

My understanding is that most inmates of A-B left right away — the Russians didn’t encourage them to stay around. So, many of the people in the film were local folks who were paid to put on striped clothing and act out being “survivors.” That Russian film is as phony and as untrue as can be.

  5. The Holocaust has become a new civil religion with it’s own myths, saints, high priests, heretics, shrines and cathedrals. Obviously, Glenn Beck went too far with his exposé of George Soros. He called this off-shore hedge fund founder who destabilizes the currencies of entire countries “a puppetmaster” so he was canned. His trip to Auschwitz and Israel is penance for the sin he committed in drawing public attention to the international power wielded by this one Hungarian Jew.

Haven’t you wised up to the fact that everyone at the Glenn Beck level of celebrityhood in America is a Zionist whore? It’s a “closed shop” up there in the twinkling firmament of media fame. The bigger the star the quicker they “heel” when their masters pull the leash. Glenn Beck ‘s abject pilgrimage to Auschwitz and on to the Wailing Wall is the path that careerists like him must take to win approval from the folks who created them so that they can continue working in show business and living large.

    • Thanks for writing this. I suspect that you are correct in saying that Beck was “canned” and was then forced to do penance to save his career. He was allowed to save face by claiming that he left voluntarily in spite of the fact that he had a very large audience for his TV show.
