Vents in the ceiling of the gas chamber at the Auschwitz main camp

Filed under: Holocaust — Tags: — furtherglory @ 9:38 am

I haven’t blogged, nor even touched my computer, for several days because I have been following the news about the Boston Marathon bombing.  When I checked my blog this morning, I saw that an old blog post about Block 10 at the Auschwitz main camp has been getting hundreds of hits. I suspected that Block 10 is in the news for some reason, so I began searching for any stories about Block 10.  I found nothing.

In the course of my searching, I did find an old news story about British students from Newcastle taking a HET tour of Auschwitz.  “Block 10” was mentioned in the story, but only because this building was not open to the students.

This quote is from the news story about the student trip to Auschwitz:

STANDING on the same spot where so many perished, teenager Callum Easton peered up at a vent in the ceiling above his head.

This, he’s told by a guide, is where Nazi officers would pour pellets of Zyklon B, on to hundreds of naked, shivering and unsuspecting prisoners waiting to “take a shower”.

“It was a very direct link between us and them because it was the last thing that they would have ever seen,” said Callum, a history student at Newcastle College.

The 17-year-old added: “Standing in the same place where so many people died, and peering up the large vent, was very poignant.”

Were these students told that the gas chamber in the main Auschwitz camp is a RECONSTRUCTION?  The vent holes in the ceiling of the gas chamber are an example of Soviet engineering, but for 50 years, tourists were told that the gas chamber was original.

Holocaust deniers were put in prison for denying that the gas chamber was original.  Which brings me to an article about Holocaust denial on the online Washington Examiner, which you can read in full here.

This quote is from the article, which is entitled “Credo: Diane Saltzman, director of survivor affairs at the [US] Holocaust museum”:

It’s amazing to think that some doubt the Holocaust happened.

There are people that deny it because they are completely ignorant. And then for others, I don’t think most deny because they really don’t believe. I think they deny because they hate. Holocaust denial is a form of anti-Semitism. The Holocaust is the most well-documented crime in human history. There are millions and millions of pages of documents, of photographs, much of it created by the perpetrators themselves. There is no absence of true, reliable, authentic documentation of what happened, so there must be some other reason of why people choose to deny the Holocaust, and its roots are in anti-Semitism. You deny someone’s history, you deny their right to exist.

The point that I am trying to make, in my blog post today, is this:  Don’t deny that the Nazis poured Zyklon-B pellets, through vents on the ceiling, onto the heads of the Jews, who were expecting a shower in a room where there were no shower heads, or you will be called anti-Semitic, or worse.

Millions and millions of pages of documents? Really?

“The archives torn from the bowels of the Third Reich, the depostions and accounts of its chiefs permit us to reconstruct in their least detail the birth and the development of its plans for aggression, its military campaigns, and the whole range of processes by which the Nazis intended to reshape the world to their pattern. Only the campaign to exterminate the Jews, as concerns its completion, as well as in many other essential aspects, remains steeped in fog. Psychological inferences and considerations, third- or fourth-hand accounts, allow us to reconstruct the developments with a considerable verisimilitude. Certain details, nevertheless, will remain unknown forever. As concerns the concept proper of the plan for total extermination, the three or four principal actors are dead. No document remains, and has perhaps never existed.” – Leon Poliakov, Breviaire de la haine (Breviary of Hate) , Paris, 1979, p. 134.

“The process by which total extermination replaced resettlement in Madagascar or ‘the East’ as the so-called final solution of the Jewish question remains unclear. No written order by Hitler for the extermination of the Jews has been discovered and the evidence of an oral order is only indirect. The chronology of the development of the extermination programme is also confused.” – J. Noakes and G. Pridham, eds., Nazism: A History in Documents and Eyewitness accounts 1919-1945 – Vol. 2, (New York: Schocken Books, 1988), p.1136.

“No written document containing or reporting an explicit command to exterminate the Jews has come to light thus far. This does not of course mean that such direct evidence will not appear in the future. In the meantime, the presumption must be that the order or informal injunction to mass-murder Jews was transmitted orally.” – Arno J. Mayer, Why did the Heavens not Darken?: The ‘Final Solution’ in History (New York: Pantheon Books, 1990), pp.235-36.

“”Insofar as no one has yet discovered a written trace of this order [to liquidate the Jews under German control] in the sources which have been exploited up to the present, and insofar as it seems unlikely, it is incumbent on the historian to date it as precisely as possible by appealing to interpretation. Since the methods and the hypotheses on this subject are very numerous, we find ourselves confronted with very diverse opinions.” – Saul Friedländer, L’Allemagne nazie et le genocide juif, Gallimard, Le Seuil, 1985, pp. 177-178.

“Despite the great harvest of Nazi documents captured by the Allies at the end of the war, it is precisely the documents concerning the process of the formation of the idea of the final solution of the Jewish question that are missing, to the point that up until the present it is difficult to say how, when, and exactly by whom the order to exterminate the Jews was given.” – Lilliano Picciotto Fargion, La congiura del silenzio (The Conspiracy of Silence), La Rassegna mensile d’Israel, May-August 1984, p.226.

“The consequence of the absence of any overt documentary evidence of gas chambers at these camps, coupled with the lack of archaeological evidence, means that reliance has to be placed on eye witness and circumstantial evidence.” – Justice Gray, Irving Lipstadt trial, 2000.

    Other kind of evidence?

“Sources for the study of the gas chambers are at once rare and unreliable.” – Arno J. Mayer, Why Did the Heavens Not Darken?: The “Final Solution” in History.

“there was a Holocaust, which is, by the way, more easily said than demonstrated.” – Raul Hilberg, Is There a New Anti-Semitism?

“Ninety-nine per cent of what we know we do not actually have the physical evidence to prove . . . it has become part of our inherited knowledge.” – Robert Jan Van Pelt, A Case for Letting Nature Take Back Auschwitz, The Toronto Star, December 27, 2009.

“it is necessary to recognize that the lack of traces involves the inability to directly establish the reality of the existence of homicidal gas chambers.” – French historian Jacques Baynac.

“Survivor accounts of critical events are typical of all testimony, that is, they are full of discrepancies. About all matters both trivial and significant, the evidence is nearly always in dispute. In part the unreliability of these accounts derives from imperfect observation and flawed memory, but in larger part from the circumstance that they are not constructed exclusively on the basis of firsthand experience. In order to present a coherent narrative, the author has likely included a large measure of hearsay, gossip, rumor, assumption, speculation, and hypothesis.” – Lucy Dawidowicz, A Holocaust Reader.

“A great percentage of the mistakes I discovered in my own work, could be attributed to testimonies.” – Raul Hilberg.

It’s always funny to hear some jews state that ‘Holocaust denial’ comes from ignorance while all the people who have never opened a book in their entire life but have a TV believe in the Holocaust (what of course doesn’t mean that all the Holocaust believers have never opened a book in their life)…

    • Exactly, because the Hollow-Hoax is the new “Holocaustianity” of the 21st century, which has replaced the Communist Manifesto of Marx and Engels. In Christian religious belief, one man, JC, is claimed/alleged to have been crucified.
In the new “Holocaustianity” of the 21st century, exactly 6 million are alleged to have been exterminated, but not one of the alleged 6 million exterminated could claim, prior to extermination, to have been a “Messiah,” unless the claim that 6 million “Messiah’s” were exterminated, can be confirmed. 2. On page one of the Hasbara manual is the statement to use when doubt of the events of the Holocaust is raised. Apparently ” it is the most documented event in history” …repeat ad nauseum.
There never has been one document confirming the mass gassing of Jews; it remains the biggest mass psychological deception apart from organised religion in history.
