Watch what you write on Facebook, lest you go to prison for two years

I have just learned, from this news article, that a modern-day “Nazi” has been sentenced to TWO years in prison in France, although the law in France only allows for ONE year in prison for Holocaust denial.

The following quote is from the news article:

A criminal court in Normandy has sentenced French Nazi ideologue Vincent Reynouard to two years in jail for denying the Holocaust in Facebook postings.

Although Mark Zuckerberg officially allows Holocaust denial on Facebook, and Facebook even has a Holocaust page, the law in France does not allow Holocaust denial anywhere.

This quote is also from the news article:

Mr. Collet, who attended the trial, said Mr. Reynouard argued in court that his goal is the “rehabilitation of national socialism.” He has inundated YouTube with more than 120 videos. In one 44-minute video, Mr. Reynouard criticizes Mr. Collet’s commemorations for failing to take into account the French civilians who died in the Allied invasion. More controversially, Mr. Reynouard adds there is “no proof” that the gas chambers ever existed.

I am not a fan of Mr. Reynouard. I think that he has made many minor mistakes, and that he has not studied the Holocaust enough to be an expert. He is entitled to his opinion — but not in France. He should come to America, where he can say anything he wants, at least for now.

My photo of the inside of the church at Oradour-sur-Glane

My photo of the inside of the church at Oradour-sur-Glane

I disagree with Mr. Reynouard on the subject of Oradour-sur-Glane.

Many years ago, I wrote on my website about his conclusions regarding Oradour-sur-Glane, compared to my conclusions:

In the article on my website, I was playing Devil’s Advocate. I agree with Reynouard, except for a few details that he got wrong.

This quote is also from the news article:

Mr. Reynouard was convicted in France in 2007 for Holocaust denial, or négationnisme, and went to prison in 2010 to serve a one-year sentence. His incarceration attracted some attention at the time. Hundreds signed a petition to press for his release and the repeal of the French law banning the denial of crimes against humanity.

Mr. Reynouard, a former mathematics teacher who was sacked by the French Education Ministry for his views in 1997, has also sparked controversy in Belgium. A court in Brussels sentenced him to a one-year jail term in 2008 for “denying the genocide committed by the German national-socialist regime.” The sentence was confirmed by a court of appeal in 2011.

  1. Might have been more useful to throw at the judge that world census of Jewry in 1939 was 15,600,000, whereas in 1947 it was 15,690,000.

  2. Further Glory,
If you recall, I have asked your permission to use your materials, while writing my article and was granted it. You could see, that I gave your full credit for the materials used at the end of the article.
The Tulle episode was described in the following paragraph in Russian:

“А утром следующего дня раскрывается ужасная картина: возле местной школы находят около сорока изуродованных трупов немецких солдат. Некоторым из них отрезали гениталии и вложили им в рот. Трупы других убитых были загажены экскрементами. Одного из погибших привязали за ноги к машине и возили лицом вниз. Ну, и всё прочее, в столь же изящном французском стиле. Местные жители утверждают, что среди партизан были поляки, испанские республиканцы и даже русские.”

Also, I was able to find the information that SS-Hauptsturmführer Aurel Kowatsch and SD officer Obersturmführer Walter Schmald were acting under authority given to them by SS-Judge Obersturmbannführer Detlev Okrent of division “Das Reich”. Who would knew that SS-divisions have their own courts?
Okrent was a sliver medalist of 1936 Olympics in field hockey.

  3. David, how many times had Holo-Pope Raul Hilberg visited and examined alleged “extermination camps” before publishing his Holy Tablets of Israël’s right to exist as a state (aka his book “The Destruction of the European Jews”)? Commemorative ceremonies count for zero.

    • Raul Hilberg visited the main Auschwitz camp ONE TIME on a guided tour. This was the only camp that he visited before writing his book entitled The Destruction of the European Jews. This is by his own admission.

  4. Here is my article in Russian explaining events in both Tulle and Oradour –sur-Glan.

I did not use the materials of Vincent Reynouard.

This article read by over 27,000 people.

    • I can’t read Russian, but I see that you have included the events in Tulle.

On my website, I wrote about “the events in Tulle.”

      Begin quote:
In the light of day on June 9, Das Reich took stock of the situation in Tulle. Forty men of III./95 were discovered dead near a school. They showed signs of execution, and local civilians reported the men had been killed after dropping their weapons and surrendering. Only an SD officer with them had a pistol in his hand. Most of the bodies were mutilated, some had had their genitals cut off and stuffed into their mouths. Others had been covered with excrement. One man had holes in his heels with a rope through them, and a ruined face, indicating that he had been tied to the back of a truck and driven around. Other bodies were found around town, bringing the total German dead to 64. The III./95 had reported 80 missing, meaning several were unaccounted for. And 9 more Germans died in rescuing the garrison, as mentioned before. (1, 18-19)

  5. As Vincent Reynouard points out in his latest video why does the might of the French state come down on one lone individual. There must be thousands of people with non conformist views regarding many subjects who are not persecuted and jailed for Heresy. The problem is that his views threaten the power of the Jewish state and the collective Jewish people, because the “Holocaust ” is based on a giant lie; there were no homicidal gas chambers..

    • You’re well schooled on this mans plight. Do you think the French government would think more highly of child rapists and People who murder.? They seem to have such a hardon for prosecuting people like this man. I still say these laws are place to keep something hidden. This man is questioning a few things. Isn’t curiosity part of human nature?

  6. French resident, I must tell you that your post’s title is wrong.
Vincend Reynouard has been sentenced for 1 year and for posting revionnists ideas by videos on YouTube.
He has now gone out of France.
If you speak French, you can follow him on his website :

  7. Well I’m not a fan of socialism in the least. So I’m not gonna be in his corner on that. I do salute the man for speaking his peice, regardless of his knowledge. I was recommended 2 books. My brothers voice ( which I oredered and I am now reading). The other one recommended was a single word in the title. FG suggested I not read that yet since I just started studying this topic. So I understand why FG said this guy should not be messing with this too much since he’s still a novice in this field . Aside from orally denying the holocaust ,what would happen if someone was accused of makin sport of it (I guess that’s the best way to put it). There’s an album Pink Floyd did in ’79.The Wall. A song on there called “waiting for the worms”. Watch the video on YouTube . Roger Waters wrote the song ( side note his pop fought and died in WW2). couple lines in the song. ” to turn on the showers and fire the ovens”. Another line. “The queers and the coons, the Reds and the Jews “. Watch the video and listen to the lyrics. That why I ask if these holocaust denial law countries could nail someone for having this song.Roger don’t like Israel. His latest sparing partner has been Dionne Warwick. Look up the letter he wrote her

  9. How about telling us in in a couple of quick sentences what you think Vincent Reynouard got wrong about Oradour-sur-Glane. People shouldn’t be jailed for dissenting opinions on WWII history. If anyone cares about Mr. Reynouard current plight they can send money or a card in an envelope to the following address:

    • Keep in mind that I was writing facetiously on my website, when I wrote about Reynourd, many years ago.

Here are the points that I mentioned that Reynourd got wrong:

Reynouard points out that in Oradour-sur-Glane, there were refugees who were Spanish soldiers that had fought against Franco in the Civil War in Spain. He claims that these soldiers would have recruited the villagers to fight along with them in the French Résistance. He points out that the Spanish refugees are never mentioned in the official story. On the contrary, the 26 Spaniards who had been living in Oradour-sur-Glane since 1939, when the Spanish Civil War ended, were most certainly mentioned in the official stories that I read.

Reynouard’s crime was that he claimed that survivors of the Oradour massacre lied about the tragedy, and that the women and children were killed by an explosion in the church which was not set off by the Waffen-SS soldiers who were in the village that day. Contrary to Reynouard’s revisionist claims, the women and children were burned alive by a fire that was set in the church by the Waffen-SS soldiers, according to the official story.

If he had carefully studied the testimony of Madame Rouffanche, he would have known that she didn’t jump down to the road from the top of the retaining wall, but rather crawled around the church to the garden behind the presbyterie after she was shot 4 times in the legs and once in the shoulder as she stood on the ground underneath the window. His measurements are all wrong: the window is less than 12 feet from the ground, and the retaining wall is around 10 feet high.

Reynouard makes the outrageous claim that the burned bodies found inside the bakery and the bodies that had been thrown into a well were those of German soldiers who had been previously killed by the partisans in the village. If this is true, why didn’t the Waffen-SS soldiers take these bodies with them for a proper burial instead of leaving them to be found by the survivors after the destruction of the village?

Reynouard speculates that not all the women and children died in the church as a consequence of the disaster, since parts of the church were not destroyed. He thinks that the women and children who were in the proximity of the wooden confessional and the silk flowers must have survived the drama and that Mrs. Rouffanche was not the only survivor of the church.

Reynouard mentions the story told by a German soldier, Eberhard Matthes, who visited the ruined village in 1963 and spoke with two women who claimed to have survived the destruction in the church. Why didn’t these two women testify during the trial in Bordeaux in 1953? Maybe they did, but we won’t know until 2053 when the court records will be open to the public. Until then, Reynouard has no proof of his revisionist claims.

  10. What on earth will happen to this site should the USA decide to join the rest of the civilised world and make holocaust denial a crime ?

    Comment by David Pearce — June 25, 2015 @ 9:59 am

    • To what “site” are you referring? Are you referring to my website and to my blog?

I think that I will be able to skate by. I am 82 years old, so I will be able to claim Alzheimers.
I will be able to delete my blog with one click. I can take down my website with another click.

Maybe the new law will only apply to new websites and blogs, and will not be retroactive. My website hads been up since 1997, and my blog has been up since February 2005.

If I am arrested and convicted, I will probably be able to serve my time in a nursing home, where I will be given Haldol. Everyone in a nursing home, these days, is given Haldol to keep them quiet, so don’t worry. Your version of the Holocaust will be safe.

        Comment by Tim — June 25, 2015 @ 11:59 am

        • why do we need trials and prison sentences to stop “denying the holocaust”?? Do we need trials to confirm the Mi Lai massacre happened in Vietnam or indeed any other historical event..?? Have you never asked yourself why they resort to trials, sentences & fines? Truth needs no defence. We’ve all seen enough crime programmes to know (if common sense didn’t tell us already) that only an autopsy can reveal the true cause of death. So WHY is there not one single autopsy that exists proving once and for all that the concentration camp victims died from cyanide poisoning??? They cannot prove that even one jew died from cyanide poison, not even one…!
I see you resort to the usual ad hominem attacks on the site owner. Prove her wrong! show us your proof they all died from cyanide poisoning. A pile of shoes proves nothing.
And if the communist account of Ouradour is true, why is the record sealed till 2053………?? What are they afraid of? If the trial proves the official version is true then why not publish it and show us all they’re right instead of hiding the truth in a sealed record for decades???

          • Scotty. First off it My Lai. That happened about 3 years before my tour in ‘Nam. Westmoreland told his people,”sacrafice Cally”. That’s how fast our military and elected officials will operate to save their collective asses. At one time I followed in line with the holocaust. I stumbled across FGs site one day. I thought another jew hater and I said so. I finally shut my piehole. Started to listen and found out I was wrong. There’s a lot of material on here that will make you think. I get pissed at the holo denial law countries. What are they trying to hide. I’ve found out from my time in the military. You tell people a certain scenario has certain story to it,that’s how it will be till the end of time. Threaten people. Easiest way to bury the truth. Its everywhere. I don’t hate jews . I’ve said it before. I hate lies and deception. I’ll admit. On this topic, both sides are very zealous. I don’t know everything on this topic. The people that deny the holo, might be a few throwing lies into the mix. The people that say the holo happened. I don’t believe everything outta their mouth is a lie. The only people that clean up during a war,are the rich fat dogs. It’s an extremely f**ked up business. Like the old adage goes,” in a war, truth is the first casualty”. Were the Krauts guilty of some crimes? Not yeah, but hell yeah. America,UK,France and the Ruskies. Their hands are just as dirty. We wrapped ourselves in our countries flag and that was our “get outta jail free card.” We made sure the gathering shit storm hit Germany.

Unlike some countries ( I guess I can refer to those countries as lapdogs) who wish to “suppress” free speech and thought. That’s okay. Interest in the Holocaust began with the movie “Sophie’s Choice” around 1980.
