Dario Gabbai the last living Sonderkommando Jew

Today I am commenting on a news article, which you can read in full at

DarioGabbai points to a photo of Jews getting off a train at Asuchwitz-Birkenau

Dario Gabbai points to a photo of an incoming train at Auschwitz-Birkenau

The news article tells about Dario Gabbai, who is the last living member of the Sonderkommando.  The Sonderkommando was a group of Jewish men who carried their fellow Jews out of the gas chambers after they were dead.  The Sonderkommando men were killed after serving for 3 months; they were replaced by new prisoners who carried on the work of clearing the gas chambers.

This quote from Wikipedia explains the Sonderkommando:

David Dario Gabbai (born September 2, 1922) is a Greek Sephardi Jew and Holocaust survivor, notable for his role as a member of the Sonderkommando at Auschwitz. He was deported to the camp in March 1944 and put to work in one of the crematoria at Birkenau, where he was forced to assist in the burning of the hundreds of thousands of Hungarian Jews that were deported to the camp during the spring and summer of that year.

Gabbai remained at Auschwitz until its evacuation in January 1945. He was liberated from Ebensee concentration camp in Austria by the United States Army, and has publicly spoken about what he witnessed and experienced during the Holocaust.

End quote from Wikipedia

Why was the last Sonderkommando group allowed to live?  Was it because the Nazis were proud of their work in gassing the Jews and they wanted men to live to tell the world about it?

I blogged about Dario Gabbi previously on this blog post:

and about the work of the Sonderkommando men on this blog post:

  2. Dario Gabbai first came to prominence in the Claude Lanzmann “documentary” film ‘Shoah’ back in 1985. Which means he’s been roaming around tell his story to anyone and everyone for at least 30 years. Are we all supposed to believe that no one from the holocaust industry ( ie;- Yad Vashem; The Auschwitz State Memorial Museum; the USHMM; historians; researches and documentary makers have never sat down with him and questioned him closely as to what really happened in the so-called “gas-chamber/ crematoriums”

Let’s face it, he told us on camera that he “saw the whole thing from A to Z.” Well how is it, that all these prestigious holocaust people have never bothered to ask him to explain to them the entire process in detail.

Could it be that they know perfectly well that dear old Dario is a wonderful old liar, and that there were no homicidal gas chambers in Birkenau. Thus, there would no point in wasting their time in sitting him down and asking questions about a totally imaginary event!

    • Terribly sorry old chap. I grew up next to one of the other guys who was forced into the sonderkommando. He never told his story, because a) he had to deal with something in his life for which there is no precedent in history. There is no precedent, because there is no way to cope with this. The holocaust never happened before, and has had never happened since (although some dictators certainly did try) It doesn’t exist, it never has, and never will. And b) he also knows, and he has known that for the last 60 years, that no one is going to believe him. A silly shit like you, who has had nothing bad happen to you in your life, has no frame of reference to actually cope with someone who has seen, experienced and actually been a part of the worst part of the history of the world and survived it, and has had to live with it since then. I’m calling you an outright stupid shit. I’m doing that, in his place because he has grown weary of telling his shit and nobody believing him in the early 50’s. Early 50’s of the 20th century you dumb shit. I’m calling you a silly nothing because he won’t, and I feel the responsibility to kick your lilly ass in his place, because I actually know the guy. He’s close to 90, and I’m 41. But people have tried to kill ME plenty over the past 20 years, so I know where HIS reluctance to come out with his story comes from. I know he has made the decision to try to fix his life, and I’ve seen that he has been unable to do that from personal experience, simply because there IS NO FRAME OF REFERENCE. He literally has had the worst thing happen to him, the worst thing in the whole of human history. This man isn’t just part of human history, he is the actual embodiment of human history. And he is close to 90, and still alive, because, once you survived a bunch of nazi’s trying to kill you every second of your life, afterwards, anything else that’s trying to kill you is just peanuts. If you have the willpower to survive the worst thing that could happen in the worst time inflicted by the worst people in history, where the f*ck do you think your pussy ass rates? You think you’re badass? You think you got a right to be a bitch because your momma or daddy didn’t love you? GFY. No matter if you’re 300 pounds or a WWF champion. I will kick your whiny unintelligent lilly ass. I was going to say I was going to kill you…….but then I remembered that’s exactly what happened to him. So I’m just going to maime you to the point where you will have no offspring. You will live to be an ass, for ever. You are your own punishment, I just need to make it clear.

  3. HAD. From my experience. When anti Semites are unable to discuss they launch hatefull insults. Nazi hatred targetted also those who had been friends or disciples of Jews. That is the Jewish Fate,

    Comment by Wolf MURMELSTEIN — December 17, 2015 @ 12:53 am

    • And from my own experience, when Jews are unable to discuss something, they label their opponents’ words as “hate speech” with obfuscation and plenty of tears in their eyes (real fountains), and propose to forbid the latter to speak. The rest of time, they try to change the topic or they just run away for a short while and then come back as if nothing had happened.

    • This is true, Wolf.

You must concede that the use of insults instead of arguments is very widespread, by all sides and on all kinds of topics, even the ones not connected at all with Jews and the ‘Holocaust’. As far as I’m concerned, I’ve been insulted countless times by Holocaust believers who were short on arguments. On the other hand, I am probably the most anti-Semitic poster on this blog and I don’t insult debaters because of their arguments or because I’m short on arguments.

    • Wolf,

I wouldn’t go so far as to 100% defend name-calling; but if you read the relevant comments on this blog carefully, I think you’ll see they having nothing to do with “anti Semites” or anti-Semitism.

Depends on your definition of anti-Semites and anti-Semitism. To wolfie, YOU are an anti-Semite too because you dare deny the Third Reich’s homicidal gas chambers, the main source of ‘Semitism’ (Jewish power) today. And wishing a happy Jewish New Year to wolfie (like you did last September) won’t change that. Submit and become a devout worshiper of the Zionist-NWO new world religion of Holo-cult, or face your inescapable status of heretical Evil anti-Semitic Villain. No third option.

  4. It really is time for FG to ban the troll. He has truly outlived any educational or even entertainment value to this blog. Just my 2 shekels.

    • Aaaaawwww, and I’m such a nice fellow.
The thing is, Schlageter, if you would spend less time insulting me and more time simply replying to me you’ll find that I don’t mind having a reasoned discussion with you.
I’ll remind you that you insulted me first.
I have actually agreed with you on something…..and took the time to tell you that.
That goes for eah, too. I have also agreed with you on a couple of different occasions. I even took your side on something that Wolf disagreed with.
So, stop the insults. I’m willing to agree to do the same as well.

  5. If you are interested in learning how imigrant Americans contributed to a largely untold story of the how a few thousand men who attended Camp Ritchie and manned the Military Intelligence Service’s Interrogator Order of Battle, and other special groups in the war against the Nazis, click here. 6. Roman Polanski’s version of events at some ‘camp’ (as witnessed by his father apparently — it’s not clear what camp it was — it seems Polanski himself was never in a KZ — actually it is not clear his father was ever in any camp other than Mauthausen — but never mind such details…):

It brought back a nightmare of the day on which prisoners had been forced to stand in the camp’s public square, helpless, as Nazi guards shoved their children onto trucks for liquidation. As the 82-year-old filmmaker recounts, mothers and fathers were “swaying and waving and moaning and screaming and crying and falling on the ground and tearing the mud on the ground” as their kids were forever taken from them while the Germans played music over a public-address system. “It was apocalyptic,” Polanski says simply.

Whether to believe a guy who drugged and raped a 13 y/o girl is left to the discretion of the reader.

  7. So Dario Gabbai arrived at Auschwitz in March 1944, and we’re told that the so-called “gassings” ceased the following November. But he was interviewed during the 70th Anniversary of Holohoax Day on TV and claimed that he was employed as a Sondercommando for an entire year. He also told us that when some friends of his came to be gassed, he instructed them where to stand inside the chamber in order for them to die more quickly.

What are friends for, in times of such need. You are a very thoughtful, considerate, and truly humane sort of guy, Dario !

  8. Bill Harvey’s story was classic: One of six children, Harvey grew up in a winegrowing region in Czechoslovakia. Life was not easy — his father was always ill, his mother supported the family as a dressmaker and Harvey started working at a vineyard when he was 10. Two years later, Harvey heard Hitler on the radio: “He said, ‘I’m going to kill every Jew in this world.’ {I’d like to see the transcript of this speech. When was it broadcast?}

    Those words seemed very real on a day seven years later, when the Germans knocked on their door and gave the family five minutes to gather a few possessions and leave. The next stop was a ghetto, and six weeks later, they were crammed into a cattle car bound for Poland. “I cannot tell you what a terrible journey it was,” recalls Harvey, weeping as he remembers his arrival at Auschwitz. “It looked like a Twilight Zone. Big chimneys going to the sky. Smoke was going all over. We didn’t know where the smoke was coming from — that they were burning human beings.” On that awful day, Harvey lost his mother, his aunt and many cousins. And the next 18 months were filled with suffering. {So how did Billy-boy survive?}

    Comment by Schlageter — December 16, 2015 @ 8:56 am

    • I had to google Bill Harvey. I found a photo of him here:

The smoke that he saw was coming from the chimneys in the barracks that covered 425 acres. The bodies were burned in ovens that did not emit a lot of smoke.

    • I wanted to make sure you didn’t miss my reply, Schlageter.
      I have a wife, Schlageter.
Sufferink? Is that a word? I’m surprised that you didn’t get a tongue lashing from eah.
Well, for all I know he’s tongue lashing you right now.

And you had the nerve to call David Irving an “attention whore” — like I said: your foto ought to be next to the word ‘oblivious’ in the dictionary.

        You pathetic cretin.

        Comment by eah — December 16, 2015 @ 10:39 am

        • Well, Irving is an attention whore. He’s also a weathervane:
          I’m a denier
          I’m not a denier
I’m kind of a denier but not really.
So, are you going to become my Facebook friend? I think that would be great. You could enlighten me on new stories about brave deniers all over the world fighting for freedom of speech….as long as that speech agrees with their point of view.
You know, you’ve opened a whole new world for me, my friend. While originally it depressed me thinking about all of those deniers all over the world unfairly jailed over their thought crimes……sorry, I just teared up a bit.
But the thought of you speaking out bravely on their behalf made me stand up tall. I drew strength from your conviction (but not in a gross way) that the world needs to know.
You are my hero, eah. Thank you for being you.
          Keep your chin up.
          Keep the faith.
          Fight the power.
Come, as you are, as you were, as I’d want you to be.

        • Oh, nice change up.
I like the fact that instead of calling me a “fucking moron” you switched to “pathetic cretin.”
Change is good, less boring for those reading your comments.
I eagerly await any new insults you want to toss my way.
Here, let me help your thought process.
Fred Leuchter is a fraud who doesn’t know the difference between a gas chamber and a hole in the ground.
          Your turn.
