Holocaust survivor, who lost 35 relatives in the Holocaust, now lives in Berlin

Filed under: Germany, Holocaust — furtherglory @ 7:03 am

Why would a Jew, who had 35 relatives killed by the Germans in the Holocaust, want to live in the German city of Berlin? Why don’t the elderly Holocaust survivors want to live in Israel?

The following quote is from a news article, which you can read in full here:

There were dramatic scenes at the trial of a 94-year-old former SS guard [Reinhold Hanning] in Germany yesterday Thursday as he was confronted by an Auschwitz survivor.

[Leon] Schwarzbaum, a former art dealer who now lives in Berlin, survived Auschwitz but lost 35 members of his family in the Holocaust.

The Jews apparently have no fear of being Holoausted again by the Germans, and Berlin now belongs to the Jews.

Belongs to them in what way?

    • Jew landmarks in Berlin. FG did an article on that shit. Called the landmarks “eyesores”. It’s okay for the Hebs to raise their kidding Berlin and give them something to identify with, but the Kraut kids ain’t allowed to have any of the Germanic heritage around. I’m waiting to see how much longer the Jews will allow the Brandenberg Gate to remain upright

  2. as he was confronted by an Auschwitz survivor

It’s important to understand/appreciate: this counts as testimony — it is (a big part of) the evidence being put forth by the prosecution — Hanning sits in court and listens as survivors ‘confront’ him by telling many of the usual falsehoods and outright lies that survivors tell about what they experienced in the camp(s) — but as I suggest in this comment, via the appeal of Oskar Gröning the BGH is likely (not certain, but likely) to rule that the new, loose interpretation of the accessory to murder statute that began with the Demjanjuk trial is invalid — if they do, this kind of nonsense will stop.

    • I am intrigued that you believe that the German High Court will overturn the legal ruling made in 2011 which has allowed all these trials 70 years after the events to take place .These individuals are culpable because they were part of the ” system ” . These are as everyone knows merely show trials and they do demonstrate how corrupt German justice is.
When do you think the ruling will be made ? I am pretty sure that the ruling will let the show go on.
Interestingly they don’t go after all the East German border guards as being ” part of the system “. After all they were all instructed to illegally shoot potential escapees from East Germany.

    • When do you think the ruling will be made?

I do not know when the BGH will hear or rule on the Gröning appeal (auf Deutsch Revision) — the link I left in this comment gave some minimal background:

Current practice is the result of a lower-level court accepting a recommendation of the prosecution in the Demjanjuk case that the existing statute on being an accessory to murder be interpreted to allow a conviction for indirectly contributing to the killing — via the Gröning appeal, the highest German court will now rule on this — it could have been decided before, but Demjanjuk died before his appeal was heard by the BGH.

The BGH could not be so corrupt as to allow this blatantly political practice to continue…could they?

      • The whole state is based as Joschka Fischer ( former BRD foreign minister ) stated on Auschwitz. The Judges know their duty and i am afraid to say they are as corrupt as all the politicians. They will allow the trials to continue until every last member of the Hitler Youth is dead.

        Comment by peter — February 15, 2016 @ 4:34 pm

      • They will allow the trials to continue

Of course it could happen — the title of the article is “Nazi-Jäger sehen kein Ende der Ermittlungen” — ‘Nazi hunters see no end to investigations’ — these people are well-paid bureaucrats and would not want to see that gravy train stop — “Irgendwann werde aber der Zeitpunkt gekommen sein, an dem nicht mehr realistisch damit zu rechnen sei, dass mögliche Beschuldigte noch leben” — but one day the time will come when it will no longer be realistic to expect to find living perpetrators — “verhandlungsfähigen Beschuldigten” — they must also be able to stand trial — per current practice it appears this hurdle is not very high.

      • Verteidigung im Auschwitz-Prozess legt Revision ein

Gröning is appealing his conviction and sentence.

Schon 1977 wurde gegen Gröning ermittelt. Später wurde das Verfahren eingestellt und eine Wiederaufnahme abgelehnt.

So they investigated Gröning in 1977, but he was not charged — one assumes due to lack of/no evidence — at a later time (unspecified) the prosecution declined to take up the case again — so here it is clear the Rechtsauffassung re Beihilfe zum Mord that came out of the Demjanjuk trial is the only reason they re-opened the case against Gröning — because it was no longer necessary to produce actual specific evidence.

  3. The article in the ‘National Post’ shows Mr Shwarzbaum grimly displaying his Auschwitz tattoo on his arm. But I note that the first three numerals are just half the size of the last three. And there’s no neatness in the layout, which makes me think that the first three numbers were applied by someone using a free-hand device – and then somebody else completed the number in similar fashion. But would not the Auschwitz administration have deployed a machine which could apply the entire 6 digit number to the arm rapidly, efficiently and cleanly in one go. Otherwise it was a very laborious process to get all the inmates tattooed.

    • Jailhouse tattoo? I ask you that because you say the numbers are not uniform in size. FG said the Krauts employed IBM to help with all the phases of the whole process. FG also mentioned how meticulous the Krauts were. With that being said,I don’t think the Krauts are gonna half ass a tattoo. From what I’ve read on here, the tatts played a very important part of this whole process. All that does leave me with one question. How come IBM never got their ass drug into court? Their hands were just as filthy

  4. Didn’t you say one time that when the Ruskies were closing in on some of the camps, the Jews hauled ass with the Kraut soldiers, rather than hang around and wait for the Ruskie soldiers to show up. I think I know why the Jews want to live in B City. It’s because they can. I say they’re doing it to rub everybodies nose in it.

    • The prisoners marched out of Auschwitz with the Germans, rather than wait for the Russians who were on their way.

      Comment by furtherglory — February 15, 2016 @ 8:12 am

      • So if the Krauts were so cruel, why would the Jews jet with them. Why not wait on the Ruskies? They’re the salvation of the Jews . I think the Jews knew a thing or two about the Reds and deduced they’d be better off with the Krauts.

        Comment by Tim — February 15, 2016 @ 8:42 am

        • Better to ask who they’d been instructed to be “picked up” by. One might also consider where their final destination was to be and which ratlines were to be used. Corporate employees have very little say in where they get posted to.

          • So. Everybody had such a hardon to nail everybody that was remotely involved in all this BS. IBM will say they have no way of checking anything ,because all the records from the WW2 period were ,destroyed. Whatever. There was a fund set up to compensate the forced laborers and anyone else effected by the nazis. IBMs German division donated 3 million to that. Okay. 3 mill is a drop in the bucket for. What they did it outta the goodness of their heart. Hell if I was IBM and I’m telling people we didn’t have dick to with that,so we ain’t giving you any damn money. Their attorney probably told them,”donate the money and you’ll look like you give a shit about the Jews “. Their damn punch cards were all over Germany. This shit came down to one thing. Let’s make Germany the fall guy. Why not. It worked at the end of WW1. Now Germany is the lapdog of the Jews . IBM skates unscathed . IBM got a get outta jail free card

        • You wrote: “So if the Krauts were so cruel, why would the Jews jet with them.” The whole point is that the Krauts were NOT cruel. That’s why the Jews left with them before the Ruskies arrived. The Ruskies had a reputation for being cruel.

          • i know that. What I’ve read here, presents a whole different view on what actually happened. Will any of this ever be taught in the public school system? No. If that were to happen the big wigs at the school board, won’t be able to brain wash the kids. I’ve read enough here to know the Krauts weren’t demons. Camp guards having soccer games with the inmates. Healthy looking mothers ,giving birth to healthy children. I’ve told you before when I found this site first thing I thought,”another Jew hatin website”. I found out this site has nothing to do with wether someone loathes the Hebs or not. This is all about trying to shine a light on a few facts the historians elected to sweep under the carpet. Hell I heard somewhere when Goering surrendered,he and captors got along great. What about Lt. Wheelis who was one of Goerings guards. I read somewhere those 2 got along okay. Goering and Wheelis both loved to hunt. I read somewhere they’d sit around talking about that. See all this shit is never presented in the history books. It might give the impression some of the nazis were humans. We can’t have that now. All this sounds like the nazis were real assholes. History just wants us to buy into that.

      • FURTHERGLORY. You are totally wong. Prisoniers had been forced to the Death Marches. Those left behing only for time reasons risked to be shot in a last mass execution. As the Red Army advanced faster than the Nazis thought the SS prefered to flee. So the Red Army found survivors. Clear once and for ever?.

          • In order to avert another fight between you two,I’ve got a question about hitler and the French (for the record I think the French are assholes. Not to forget that they had a pussy they looked up to degualle. Don’t know if o spelled his name correctly. Then again I don’t give a shit if I did or didn’t ). The answer here is probably demonstrable. I think hitler would probably have the same attitude towards the French pussies that I have,so I’ll move on to the next question. At the end of WW1,the French made the jerries sign all the papers in the compigne rail car ( don’t know if I spelled that right or not) in France . Fast forward to WW2. Hitler made the French sign papers in the same car when the Krauts rolled up on France . It’s obvious hitler did that to rub their noses in it. How much of the shit France pulled on Germany ,effected hitlers attitude towards them. I started reading mein kampf. I never new this, but I ran across a part where it said the frenchies invaded Germany in 1923(?). There was no war going on at that time. I read where Britan got pissed off that, but nobody would lift a finger to help. Was France still pissed at losing the Franco Prussian conflict? I’m guessing in ’23 Germany didn’t have dick to defend themselves with,so it made a French conquest of Germany a snap ( funny how that’s the only way France can kick any bodies ass. They have to make sure they’re are “down and out” before they do it). So was there a combination of things that put a weed up hitlers ass when it came to France or was there a single defining moment such as that and to what degree did this have on hitler? You know like on a scale of 1 to 10. 1 being he didn’t give a shit and 10 being like he’s breathing fire over the whole deal. I understand his attitude towards the Jews, but it seems to me he’d be wanting to tear the French a new asshole before he proceeded with anything else. Whenever I think about this I think about what Foch said at the end of WW1. “All this amounts to is a 20 year armistice “. Well I guess there’s at least one intelligent asshole out of all the French .
