the world needs to know the Holocaust was anything but a game

The title of my blog post today is a quote from a news article which you can read in full here.

The news article is about “A beer pong game called Nazis vs. Jews?”

The following quote is from the news article:

Begin quote

Partially filled plastic beer cups arranged like the Star of David and a swastika at opposite ends of the table?

One cup designated the Anne Frank Cup, which can be protected, or “hidden,” from the Nazi players?

I cannot believe I’m actually writing this. Did this really happen this month with a group of Princeton High School athletes and peer leaders, whose immediate needs, it is clear, range from Holocaust and genocide education to a swift kick in the keister [butt]?

This goes way beyond beer pong gone wrong. Beer pong is a popular drinking game in which players try to toss a pingpong ball across a table and into a cup of beer. If successful, a person on the opposing team must chug the beer from that cup and then remove the cup from the game.

Partially filled plastic beer cups arranged like the Star of David and a swastika at opposite ends of the table?

One cup designated the Anne Frank Cup, which can be protected, or “hidden,” from the Nazi players?

End quote

  1. The SHOAH – called also Holocaust – had seen a struggle for survival in a race with time. The later the deportation the higher the chance of survival. Certainly not a game. Denominate sport or musical events with Shoah references is a great lack of respect due to deep ignorance.
In studies and teaching the whole historical – political, economical, social, “cultural” – background ought to be shown.
I see however that managing tear pressing speeches, writing negationist articles and aranging tourism is easier than studty the suicide of Europe in WWI and WWII. And so tragedies could occure again.

    • In studies and teaching the whole historical – political, economical, social, “cultural” – background ought to be shown.

You say this frequently and of course you are right: one should study these things, or at least be familiar with them, and keep the context in mind — however as you know, many people here are interested in the extermination story and whether it is true or not — eg re the (various) extermination claims, questions like: are these claims reasonable/feasible?, what is the specific evidence?, how convincing is this evidence? etc — and re that I think such “studies” are not particularly useful.

      • Wolf you must be talking about destruction of the German people, the ethnic cleansing of this group of people then you’re right but it wasn’t the Jews it was the Germans.

      • eah. jrizoli. Study of the historical background of the SUICIDE OF EUROPE in WWI and WWII and in all related tragedies from the Shoah to the exodus of ethnic Germans from East Europe – ought to be mandatory in High Schools, Colleges, Universities, especially in USA and UK. One has to consider and discuss the stupidity of many democratic politicians unable to see and solve problens for their great ignorance of history, geograihy and demography.

        • There are 5 states that have a law that makes it mandatory for students to learn about the Holocaust in American schools. I wrote about this on this blog post: https://furtherglory.wordpress.com/2013/06/12/if-you-dont-have-mandatory-holocaust-education-in-your-state-demand-it/

          • FURTHERGLORY. Would like to know what they pretend to teach and learn. Without a thorough study of historical, economical and social background such learning is only part of Shoah Business, First Division.

            • A one sided education about a topic is still a one sided education. But then again when it comes to the HoloHoax it’s always been one sided.
Hard to believe that some here don’t question that and say time to get the other side presented in the schools.
Ya…..LOL Like that is going to happen.

                • Why do we just have to teach about the Jew holo? There’s a lot more people being killed because of their race. When I found this site,I was making an effort to try and understand both sides. I’m trying to have a bit of empathy towards the Jews . The more I read, the less I give a shit. I remember the ol joke. “Why do Jews have such big noses? Air is the only thing that’s free”. That’s a joke, but it’s the truth. The more I read on here, the greedier they seem to become. The holo gets its own show in the schools? F–k that. So they hit a snag in nazi Germany. Grow up! Get over it! Welcome to the world Jews . Nobody gives a shit! People get their feelings hurt all the time. When I started my pissing and moaning, pop would always tell me,”shut up. Grow up. Deal with it like a man”. Can I say that to the Jews without them crying. They’re starting to look like titty babies to me. Okay if we gotta teach their tale of woe in public schools, then I want the schools to teach about how the Mayans and Montagnards got screwed too, because of who they are. Is there a email address that I can write to that school board? Ask them what their “real” motives are. F–k this shit. Turn Israel into a glass parking lot. That’ll be a good start.

              • “Hard to believe that some here don’t question that and say time to get the other side presented in the schools.”

Why on earth would we do that? Should we also teach kids that there are people out there who believe the earth is flat?

Holocaust denial needs to be included in college graduate level courses about the Holocaust. HD is part of the history of the Holocaust, after all. Students of history need to learn about it, it’s roots, why it exists and why it is wrong. I say tack it on in the last couple of weeks on introductory courses to the Holocaust at a university or college course level.

  2. The modern occupation construct state known as the Bundesrepublik Deutschland is a really strange land. Its current tyrant Frau Dr Angela Merkel is clearly deranged. She is an adherent of Holocaustianity ,although she grew up in the former Marxist state of the DDR and was at that time a follower of ” red Christianity “. As well as prosecuting 93 year old telephone operators on charges of killing 250,000 people she now intends to prosecute anyone disrespectful of her friends overseas.

The only other explanation is they are on to the Holohuxsters game and are poking fun at it.

    • Do you ever work — at a real job, like normal people? It seems that you are on the Internet all day, probably using your iPhone; you must have voice recognition, so that you can just speak into your iPhone and you don’t have to type, like the poor folks who don’t have an iPhone.

      Comment by furtherglory — April 18, 2016 @ 9:14 am

      • Why yes, I have a real job. I just have gaps in my day where I can come to your blog. I have an e-mail alert set up so when someone replies to me I can come back and answer. I also take a few minutes each hour as a “brain break.”
I supervise a custody medical group at a children’s hospital. We don’t deal with the public. My day is basically reading cases, which is dull. Your blog relieves my boredom.

      • I also type everything. It keeps my typing skills sharp and my brain alert.

        Comment by Jeff K. — April 18, 2016 @ 9:46 am

        • How does one type on an iPhone? Do you type with your thumbs? How do you make capital letters if you type with your thumbs.
My family had a typewriter, even though we were very poor. It was purchased for my brother, who never learned to type, and he never used it. I took over the typewriter and learned to type even before I went to high school. I could type 100 words per minute on a manual typewriter, a skill that was virtually unknown in my day. My first job was working as a typist.

          • With my thumbs. It auto-capitalizes the beginning of sentences.
I also type a lot for my job.

I also type and 10 key fast. I’ve used a typewriter or a computer for 32 years. It’s been along time since I’ve tested myself but I believe I was around a hundred words a minute.
