How Stalin inadverently saved Jews from the Nazi gas chambers

You can read about how Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin saved Polish Jews from the Nazi gas chambers in this recent news article: http://www.ibtimes.com/how-joseph-stalin-inadvertently-saved-some-polands-jews-1099571

The following quote is from the news article:

Begin quote

Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin, perhaps the worst mass killer in human history with the blood of tens of millions of people on his hands, once inadvertently saved Polish Jews from the Nazi death camps and gas chambers by deporting them to Siberia and other parts of the USSR.

In 1940, one year before the Nazis commenced their program of extermination, Stalin ordered the deportation of some 200,000 – perhaps as many as 300,000 — Polish Jews from Russian-occupied Eastern Poland to Gulag labor camps deep in the Soviet Union.

Notwithstanding his virulent anti-Semitism (and his own sanctioning of the killing of Jews within Russia itself), Stalin’s order ironically saved these Jewish lives – indeed, these deportees represented the bulk of Polish Jewry who survived the Nazi Holocaust.

In 1939, just before the outbreak of World War II, Poland boasted a Jewish population of some 3.3-million, or about 8.5 percent of the total (and almost one-third of Warsaw’s population).

End quote

How many of those Jews, who had been deported to Siberia, came back and settled in Poland where they told their stories of how they had been saved from the Nazi gas chambers?

You can see photos of all the Nazi gas chambers on this previous blog post: https://furtherglory.wordpress.com/2010/08/30/how-many-of-the-nazi-gas-chambers-are-still-in-existence/

  1. The Germans’ sending of Jews (and others) to concentration camps no doubt (also inadvertently) saved THEIR lives, too. No one REALLY knows what would have happened to concentration-camp inmates had they not been deported, but in many (perhaps more) cases, it could have been just as deadly and/or just as painful.

It’s all counterfact, and so can never be proven nor disproven, but it’s so obnoxious to certain partisans that they undertake to deny it. Not hard, given all the goofy stuff they assert as FACT.

    • There were far more German deaths than Jewish deaths in World War II. Here is what Wikipedia says about the number of German deaths:

      Begin quote
The wartime military casualty figures compiled by German High Command, up until January 31, 1945, are often cited by military historians when covering individual campaigns in the war. Post war German estimates of military deaths range from approximately 4.3[1] to 5.3 million[2] armed forces personnel. Civilian deaths during the war include air raid deaths, estimates of German civilians killed only by Allied bombing have ranged from around 350,000[3][4] to 635,000.[5][6][7] Civilian deaths, due to the flight and expulsion of Germans and the forced labor of Germans in the Soviet Union are disputed and range from 500,000[8][9][10] to over 2.0 million[11][12][13] In 2005 the German government Suchdienste (Search Service) put the total combined German military and civilian war dead at 7,375,800, including persons of German ancestry who lived outside of the borders of Germany and Austria.[14] This statistic does not include 200,000 German persons with mental and/or physical disabilities who were murdered in the Nazi euthanasia program.[15]

      • Next question. How many of the German prisoners died in soviet prisons. I heard a lot were not cut loose from the ruskie prisons, until the 50’s . How ever I keep forgetting,Papa Joe and his fellow ruskies, were perfect Angels. How come we can’t get a memorial to honor the dead German prisoners that died at the hands of the ruskie prisons and their guards? Are their lives any less important ? The only thing their guilty of,was being caught

  2. Another b******* story that they want you to believe how sympathetic Stalin was What a nice guy….Not!
The Jews were so better off with the Germans that if they weren’t in those camps most likely would have died so if anybody save them it was Hitler.
Let’s not forget how many Jews survived so that’s a telling thing. Millions survived these so-called death camps, how people can survive a death camp is beyond Human thinking but millions of them did.
Of course you don’t want to give the Germans any credit for doing something good so everything that they dd was bad but we know there’s more to the story.

  3. In one of those pictures, why is it one of those shower rooms has plumbing? It’s the first thing that sticks out in the picture. That really doesn’t make sense. If it was used for gassing, wouldn’t a person want to set something up,where the gas would have a small path to follow as possible? What about the demolished building at the bottom of the page. Who said it was a gas house? We had a tornado tear through here last summer. Missed my place, but nailed our next door neighbor ( next door neighbor is actually a mile and a half down the road). Me and some of the other cattlemen went down there to help with clean up. House was so f–ked up from the twister,it could’ve been a 7/11 that was there. Looks like the same thing with that supposed gas house in the picture. Clearly the building was leveled. Big pile of ruble. How can anyone tell what it was? Don’t say a survivor said it was a gas house. I’m getting to the point more and more, where I question their honesty when they speak of the holo
