What to expect on a visit to Auschwitz…

Most people join a tour group when they arrange a visit to Auschwitz. It is possible to go there completely alone, without a guide, but few people do.

After I went to Auschwitz by myself in 2005, I wrote the following about my trip — on my website at:

  1. I read your article, FG, about “what to expect on a visit to Auschwitz”, and I had a good chuckle at the following piece of information;-

” On one of my trips, my driver was a man named Jan Gut. He was very friendly and eager to point out the sights to me. As we drove away from the main camp, he showed me the house where Rudolf Hoess, the first Commandant of Auschwitz, formerly lived. The back of the house is inside the Auschwitz I camp, but the front door faces a busy street. He stopped the cab so I could take the photo below.

” I was amazed to see that two families now live in this house and both have a satellite dish for TV reception. Hoess was the greatest mass murderer of all time; he was responsible for the deaths of at least a million Jews, although he confessed to killing 3 million. How could anyone live in this house ! ”

Yes – how indeed ! What the real estate agent said to his prospective clients as he led them round to view the property is mind-boggling to say the least. And what the clients themselves thought about this amazing revelation must have led most of them to scream out loud as they ran straight out of the front door without giving the place another look.

But obviously they did find of couple of keen buyers for the property – who don’t mind in the slightest of living, sleeping and eating in the very same premises as a “mass-murdering, Nazi, death camp commander”. And both families seem to have settled in very well, by installing satellite TV receivers, in order for them to enjoy all the holocaust news, stories, documentaries and movies from all around the world.

But putting humour aside – the fact that the former commandant’s house is still functioning as a residence, shows clearly that Auschwitz was never a death camp where hundreds of thousands were exterminated. If it were – then this house would either have been levelled to the ground, or, turned into a Soviet/Polish-style museum, full of fake artefacts displaying the utter cruelty and depravity of Rudolf Hoes.

  2. Great review but you might want to revise some of the past HoloHoax views.
Hoess wasn’t a murderer…..there were no homicidal gas chambers…you know the basic stuff.
You don’t want to be looked as a HoloHuxster. We have enough of them around spouting their lies.
Overall we can see Auschwitz does very well as presented as Horror Disneyland.

As I have pointed out many times, I wrote my website BEFORE I became a Holocaust denier. I don’t want to change my whole website into a denier website. I now write denier posts on my blog, which is not kosher.
