Over the years, I have written several blog posts about the movie entitled Schindler’s List.  Before that, I wrote about Schindler’s List on my website at http://www.scrapbookpages.com/Poland/Kazimierz/Kazimierz01C.html

Now the subject of Schindler’s List has come up in a recent comment on my blog, written by a newb who knows nothing.

To understand the movie Schinder’s List, start by reading this blog post which I wrote five years ago in 2011: https://furtherglory.wordpress.com/2011/05/27/schindlers-list-the-movie-is-fiction-fiction-fiction-part-2/

Then move on to a blog post, which I wrote in 2010: https://furtherglory.wordpress.com/2010/06/01/did-oskar-schindler-save-1200-jews-from-certain-death/

I am now 83 years old, and literally on my death bed. I don’t want to spend the last years of my life arguing about whether, or not, Amon Goeth shot Jews from his second-floor balcony or from a spot on the ground in the rear of his house.

In 1998, I made a trip to Poland, accompanied by a tour guide, who took me to see the house where Amon Goeth was living when he allegedly shot prisoners from his balcony. The balcony, and the patio, are both at the rear of the house. Did Amon Goeth have a special rifle that could shoot over the house and hit prisoners who were working in the camp, a mile away?  I don’t think so.

  1. Goth most definitely shot people, but one must remember that Schindler’s List was a dramatization. His weapon was nothing special and Schindler’s List didn’t make it special at all… A K98 was a military standard.

Do you mean Amon GOETH? I visited the house where he allegedly shot people from his balcony. I wrote about it, and put the photos that I took, on this page of my website.

      • DH….Swindlers list was a LIE…..to call it a dramatization is a little bit of a stretch wouldn’t you say.

I have an iPhone but I use a full-sized keyboard, as I type 100 words per minute, on my Macintosh computer, when I answer a comment.

I think you mean a Mauser K98, called a K98 for short. You can read about it on Wikipedia.

  2. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the photo above is the one and only source of evidence for the accusation that Amon Goeth took pot-shots at the Jews inside the Plascow Camp. Someone found the photo after the war, and then later, Spielberg and his acolytes decided they could run with this absurd story for their “Schindler’s List” movie.

It wouldn’t be too difficult either, for the Hollywood movie moguls to pay some elderly Jews to come forward and say publicly that they were in the camp at the time and witnessed this happening.

Just like Further Glory – I also visited Goeth’s former residence in 2012, and its beyond a joke to suggest that he could have seen any inmates from that balcony – or anywhere else in and around the property – from which to take aim with his rifle.

The house stands alongside a public highway by the former camp perimeter. And from the rear of the property, the land rises steeply to the top of a small hill, beyond which – and completely out of sight – were the inmates barracks, work and assembly areas.

  3. Actually there are many people that wish 6 million Jews were killed as there wouldn’t be all the problems with them today.
Sadly we know that millions of them survived to torture us with their Holohoax stories that do nothing but continue the lie on for years to come.
In fact now that Trump has become the next president, they (Jew HoloHuxsters) are coming out of the closets to make it look like Trump is the new Hitler…..no disrespect to
Hitler here, as Trump could never be as great as a man or accomplish as much..

I think that people should study WHY so many of the Jews survived, to extreme old age. I think that it was due to their diet in the camps. They were mostly eating grains and vegetables, especially turnips. They were not eating much meat. I think that this is the secret to long life. Excuse me, while I go eat a turnip.

      • FG…..not to bring up a touchy and delicate subject…..who takes over your incredible site if your turnip diet fails.

AFAIK, my website and my blog will stay up forever. The company that hosts my website will stay in business for a long time; if the company is eventually sold, the new company will carry on.

I don’t know who takes care of blog posts after the owner is gone, but I think that they can still be accessed.

I have just had my morning coffee, and my mind is now functioning. My blog is hosted by wordpress, so everthing that I have written will stay up until wordpress goes out of business, and maybe after that.

My website will stay up as long as the host company stays in business which will be for a long time. The host company is a major company.

I know nothing about cryonics, so I have no thoughts on this.

  4. “This is the West, sir, ” the reporter explains quietly. “When the legend becomes fact, print the legend.” Dismissed as just another cowboy opus at the time of its release, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance has since taken its proper place as one of the great Western classics.Oct 7, 2011

  5. Well said you and of course, as usual, you are totally correct. It is a well proven fact that holocaust promoters and believers are TruthBlind. They simply refuse to accept common sense and real facts because they tend to disprove their beloved holocaust. These are of course the people who just love it that 6 million jews were supposedly killed by the Germans in the holocaust.
