If Jeff Sessions is the new Hitler, who is the new Hess?

Although many travel guidebooks say that the Zeppelin field was first used in 1927 for a Nazi party rally, the picture above clearly shows that it was held in the city of Nürnberg that year. In this photo, taken during the August 19-20, 1927 rally, Georg Halberman and Pfeffer von Salomon stand in the front, wearing Bavarian lederhosen (leather shorts) and knee socks as part of their uniform while Hitler and his right-hand man, Rudolph Hess, who is smiling in the background, salute the parade of Sturmabteilung (SA) troops from the back seat of a convertible.

You can read about Jess Sessions in a recent news article at

The following quote is from the news article:

Begin quote

Supporters and critics of Jeff Sessions agree, mostly, on one thing: The longtime U.S. senator from Mobile is a nice, down-to-earth Southerner whom lawmakers often enjoyed chatting up or sharing time with in the gym.

But that’s where the niceties end. When it came time to confirm Sessions as the 84th attorney general, Democrats collaborated and vocalized their dissent. In the process, they blasted Sessions as anti-immigrant, a racist and someone who will oversee the Justice Department as a “rubber stamp” for President Donald Trump.

Only one of the 46 Democrats in the U.S. Senate voted to confirm Sessions as attorney general, despite the Alabama conservative’s 21-year tenure in the same body.

The vote also bucked early projections that Sessions, because of his familiarity among his Senate colleagues, might enjoy more Democratic support.

I learned about Jess Sessions, for the first time, on the TV news last night. People are saying that Jess Sessions is the “new Hitler.”

Hitler’s closest friend, from his earliest days, was Rudolf Hess. Jess Sessions is apparently a close friend of Donald Trump.

Everyone in the civilized world knows the name Hitler, but who was Rudolf Hess?

I wrote about Hess on this blog post:

After Hess flew to England and bailed out of his plane by turning the plane upside down and falling out, he was arrested, put into prison, and was never allowed to speak to anyone, except his son, ever again. There were rumors that Hess had flown to England to try to prevent a new war. Allegedly, the English wanted war.

Now, some people fear that Donald Trump will start a new war. Who will be the Rudolf Hess character in this saga? Who will try to stop the war?

  1. I guess Trump’s 15m as ‘the new Hitler’ are up — Las Vegas should make book on who’s next after Sessions.

  3. Not to nit-pick and distract from your article, furtherglory, but you are actually right.

That is Rudolf Hess to the right of Hitler…..not the tall man saluting, but the man smiling over his shoulder.

That is not Rudolf Hoess; Rudolf Hoess was the Commandant of Auschwitz…..he never had a mustache and he was nowhere near as tall a that man.

    Here is Rudolf Hoess:

    Nor was it Rudolf Hess.

Rudolf Hess was Hitler’s best friend and Deputy Feuhrer.

    This is Rudolf Hess:
