The annual “March of the Living” is coming up soon

During the annual March of the Living, Jewish students from Israel, and from many other countries around the world, march from the gatehouse at Auschwitz-Birkenau to the International monument which is at the other end of the camp.

The first time that I ever visited Auschwitz was in 1998. I had  hired a tour guide who flew to Poland from New York City and met me at my hotel in Warsaw. She warned me, that if I ever wanted to come back to visit Auschwitz at some time in the future, that I should avoid the time when young people from Israel would be there for the annual “March of the Living.”

I took her advice and was never there during the annual “March of the Living”.  It is too late for me now — I will never get to see the Jewish victory march through what is left of the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp.

Today, I was alerted to the annual “March of the Living” in this recent news article in the Jerusalem Post: http://www.jpost.com/Diaspora/Elie-Wiesels-son-to-light-torch-at-March-of-the-Living-486497

The following quote is from the news article:

Begin quote:

The focus of this year’s event –the 29th of its kind– is how to preserve the memory and lessons of the Holocaust after the last survivor has passed away.

In the framework of the march, Ministers of Education from 12 European countries will participate in an unprecedented gathering on the eve of Holocaust Martyrs’ and Heroes’ Remembrance Day, organized by March of the Living organizers and the Austrian Federal Minister for Education, Dr. Sonja Hammerschmid.

“Every country and society has its own episodes of painful history, be it connected to events of mass violence, to colonialism or others” said Hammerschmid. “Austria and Austrian schools need to confront the long history of antisemitism, including before the rise of the Nazis, and especially the involvement of so many Austrians in atrocities during World War II – and foremost the Holocaust. We in Austria feel privileged to learn from the experiences of other countries – like Israel – and we gladly invite others to share ours.”

Over 10,000 youths from around the world will participate in the march, alongside an honorary delegation of 75 Holocaust survivors from different countries, the eldest of which is 103 years old.

End quote

I wrote about a “ride for the living” on this previous blog post: https://furtherglory.wordpress.com/tag/ride-of-the-living/

  1. It’s likely that ‘Holocaust survivor-hood’ will be passed from one generation of Jews to the next ad infinitum — hence you’ll never run out ot ‘the living’, and these marches will also go on infinitum.

  2. Why are people afraid of the Jews? People seen to shy away of commenting on sites that criticize the Jews.
My take on it …the Jews are bullies….they come off as sweet and caring but bottom line they will bite you, chew you up, and spit you out if you say anything that makes them look bad on ANY topic.
Apparently to them they are the most important people on the earth and everything revolves around them.
They are not facetiously called “gods chosen people” for nothing.

    • You wrote: “Why are people afraid of the Jews?”

The answer is that the Jews would just as soon kill you as look at you.

      • The Jews are not the nicest people to have as your enemy.
That is why you don’t get a lot of academic writing about them. If they did hey would be working at MacDonalds taking out the trash.
They are first rate bullies and everyone knows it…..

They would not allow this on youtube….they claim copyright crap.
This is how the Jews try to stop free speech with all their copy right crap.

  4. Lets get some of the zombies from AMCs,”The Walking Dead”,to march with the living. I like that one part of the quote,”every country and society has its own episodes of painful history “.
Yeah right. Whatever. Im gonna deduce that came from a Jew. Sorry. I can’t accept that was subvert.
If Ho Chi Minh or Castro said it,I’d be willing to believe it was sincere.
