The killings in the gas chambers of Majdanek

Filed under: Holocaust, Uncategorized — furtherglory @ 11:20 am

The title of my blog post today is a quote from a comment made by Herbert Stolpmann, one of the readers of my blog.

Herr Stolopmann is German and he was alive during World War II. He has first-hand knowledge of what went on during that terrible time. He wrote the following in a comment on my blog.

Begin quote from comment by Herr Stolpmann

The killings in the gas chambers of Majdanek were held on the orders of Globocnik, who as already emphasized, often used the concentration camp Lublin for his own needs and made it an important element of “Aktion Reinhardt”. The killings by gas was started probably in September 1942. They ended up in the first days of September 1943. The peculiarity in Majdanek in the application shows the use of two toxic gases. Carbon monoxide (CO) and Zyklon B (HCN). The use of carbon monoxide is evidence of the involvement of “Action Reinhardt” in Majdanek as a method of extermination. Zyklon B on the other hand of connection with the murder methods in the concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau. In other words, it was either copied or instructed to be used, on orders of Globocnik.
The gas chambers were set up in a small brick building that was located directly behind the men’s wash-room (No. 41) and far away from the woman’s wash-room (No. 42). The building should have been originally a disinfections facility. During the construction work, probably in August 1942, small changes were made to make it into its new role, to adapt it, to kill people. The building had a protruding roof over it, to the original planned provision, protecting disinfected clothing against rain. However, while the use of the chambers was now intended to exterminate people, it served just as camouflage. The system consisted of four rooms: three chambers and a small annex, the cabin for the SS personnel, in which steel cylinders were stored with carbon monoxide. In the ceiling of one chamber was a shaft connected to an opening to pour the diatomaceous (Kieselgur) earth-bound gas. Apart from that, this chamber, as well as in the adjacent one, pipes were connected to the steel cylinders from the cubicle next to it. In both chambers people were killed by gas.

End quote

I have a large section about the gas chamber at Majdanek on my website at http://www.scrapbookpages.com/Poland/Majdanek/Majdanek02.html

Inside the Majdanek gas chamber

Majdanek gas chamber has a plate glass window inside it

I know what you are going to say: “What kept the victims from jumping out the window?” The Nazis weren’t stupid. They posted guards outside the window. If a prisoner tried to climb out, he was shot before he hit the ground. So why have a window? No one knows.

Upon entering Barrack No. 41, which is the gas chamber building, you first come to the bare, unfurnished undressing room which has narrow wooden boards over the concrete floor. Then you enter the shower room, a large room with rows of exposed water pipes and sprinkler-type shower heads on the ceiling; this room also has a wooden floor over concrete. At one end of the shower room, there are two large concrete bathtubs. My tour guide explained that the prisoners were not allowed to loll in the bathtub, but had to get in and out in a few seconds.

The bathtubs were probably filled with disinfectant, as was the case at other camps such as Buchenwald. This shower room was also used by incoming prisoners who were selected to work at Majdanek, which was a labor camp as well as an extermination camp for the Jews.

View of the gas chamber, as seen through an outside door into the room

When I visited the Majdanek camp, visitors were not allowed to enter the gas chamber room, shown in the photo above. There was a sign which said “No photos allowed” but my camera kept going off by accident. Fortunately, I was not arrested. I was prepared to plead innocent by reason of stupidity.

Building where gas chambers were located at Majdanek

The Majdanek gas chamber was located alongside a major road. The trees that you see in the background of the photo are on the other side of the road. Anyone going down this road could see the Jews lined up outside the gas chamber building, ready to be killed.

Has Stolpmann ever claimed that he went to Majdanek during the war? I was alive in 2001, but I’m almost sure that I can’t qualify as an eyewitness to 9/11. Stolpmann’s soup tastes like old psyop pap gleaned from the internet and various propaganda agencies. As tasteless as possible…

Stolpmann was a German soldier. After the war, he worked for the Americans who took over the Dachau camp. He could speak English, which gave him an advantage after the war when Germany was occupied. There was no reason for him to go to Majdanek during the war or after the war. I have met him in person, and I think that he is a really nice person.

This is not about him being a nice person or a bad person. This is about him talking about things he did see and experience or about things he didn’t see and experience (i.e. things that he was told or that he read). His legitimacy to speak of the fictitious homicidal gas chambers of Majdanek is zero.

If Goering and Kaltenbrunner heard of the ‘Holocaust’ for the 1st time in Allied broadcasts and newspapers as they stated in Nuremberg, I highly doubt that soldier Stolpmann’s detailed depiction of the alleged Majdanek gas chambers is anything other than a mere repetition of the victors’ propaganda.

In my book, that’s the definition of a traitor. But the fictitious Nazi gas chambers and his job as a cyber propagandist probably make him feel a little less like a traitor. I hope it at least helps him to sleep at night…

        • Herminator. I’m with you a 100% buddy. That’s a traitor in my book. Irwin Romell a helluva commander, but a soldier,he was shit. Germany wants to sing praises about Staufenberg. I’ve no doubt,he loved the men who served under him,but he was a traitor. Look at Goering. How close was he to Hitler? What did he do. He bailed the minute the deck got totally stacked against the 3rd Reich. Pieces of shit.

We had a guy in my platoon when I was in country. He pulled “a stunt”. Out Lt. told we still had to cover his ass if shit hit the proverbial “fan”. Lt. said he would deal with the offender. Instead we had a guy who was short (I think heis DEROS date was like in a month and a half). This back stabber went over Lt’s. Head to command when we got to the rear. We kept to the order Lt. gave us about covering his ass,but that was it. He was a traitor to us. This asshole had the balls to show up at our reunions one . He stayed maybe 10 minutes . Everybody that he walked up to,turned their back on him. That’s what happens when you f–k people that trust you.

When a state that clearly betrays its people (and is undeniably instrumental in its final destruction) and the most rabid mortal enemies of the same people, both sing praises of a guy who attempted to murder a past leader, this unambiguously indicates that this leader was right and on the side of his people. The praises for Stauffenberg and the intense detestation of Hitler from both the treacherous German state and the destructive international Jewry, are in fact posthumous decorations of the highest value awarded to the Führer. Some kind of supreme Iron Cross. Hitler’s Iron Cross Very First Class in Valhalla…

Only depends on your definition of a “reliable source,” I guess.

The name alone smells so much impartiality and a quest for truth… 😉

  2. I just have to point out that there wasn’t just gassing at Majdanek. The Nazis had specially trained dogs to rip apart prisoners and they also used electricity and the waterworks to mass murder inmates.
I have the proof here https://wordpress.com/read/feeds/60525627/posts/1512608618

  3. Okay. How do we know if this shit is accurate ? Here’s what bothers me. That one picture has all the blue stains on the wall. From what I understand, that’s a classic sign of zyclon. When air heats, molecules are further apart. That makes it lighter than cool air. So it’s gonna rise. If that’s the case, then why are there dark blue stains towards the bottom of the wall? The blue stains up high, are very light. All the dark ones are towards the bottom.

    • Tim wrote: “If that’s the case, then why are there dark blue stains towards the bottom of the wall?”

If memory serves me right, hydrogen cyanide (HCN) binds to the walls that contain iron (Prussian blue = iron + CN) through dissolution in water. More condensation in the lower part of the walls than in their upper part (since condensation flows down due to its own weight) might be the cause of such a phenomenon.

  4. The killings in the gas chambers of Majdanek were held on the orders of Globocnik

So Globocnik (not a very German sounding name) took the decision on his own to start gassing Jews at Majdanek?

    Comment by eah — June 30, 2017 @ 3:02 pm

    • Eah. Here’s the part I like. The article mentioned something about a “manual ” in connection with gassing. Where’s this manual at? They have everything else. If they don’t have a physical copy of the “manual”,then it’s all hearsay.

      Comment by Tim — June 30, 2017 @ 3:52 pm

      • You wrote: “The article mentioned something about a “manual ” in connection with gassing.”

There was a person named Manuel who worked at the gas chamber. I have this somewhere on my website but I can’t find it now.

        Comment by furtherglory — June 30, 2017 @ 4:42 pm

        • No I was referring to manual as in an instruction guide. I know I saw in there somewhere, but now I can’t find it. If they say there was such a handbook around,it seems like it would be damning evidence. That’s why I said I wanna see this manual they spoke of.

          Comment by Tim — June 30, 2017 @ 7:03 pm

          • Tim
A manual how to run and set up a concentration camps was available to all facilities to the best of my knowledge written by the father of KZ’s Theodor Eicke. If it was applicable outside the German border, I am not certain.
This guide book was the basis of investigation against Ilse Koch’s husband who had primarily enriched himself (among other offenses) from the private property of mainly interned Jews and was executed by his own kind and he was not the only one under investigation

            Comment by Herbert Stolpmann — July 1, 2017 @ 7:52 am

            • Thank you. That’s what I was referring to.

              Comment by Tim — July 1, 2017 @ 3:20 pm

    • Odilo Globočnik ws a Germanised Slovene family from Tržič (Neumarktl), in the Imperial Free City of Trieste, then the capital of the Austrian Littoral administrative region of the Austro-Hungarian Empire (now in Italy). He was the second child of Franz Globočnik (also known as Globotschnig), a cavalry lieutenant in the Austro-Hungarian Army who came from a German-speaking Slovene family from the Upper Carniolan town of Tržič

He was captured by the Brits and committed suicide biting on his cyanide capsule

      Comment by Herbert Stolpmann — July 1, 2017 @ 2:23 am

      • Let me ask you about the cyanide. Where these distributed to the higher nazi officials in case they were caught,or was this an individual own decision?

Every time I think about cyanide,I think about that fella who shot the arch duke and his wife. The one where WW 1 started. With that poor slob, the cyanide didn’t kill him. It was old,so he got sicker than a drunken sailor.

        Comment by Tim — July 1, 2017 @ 3:29 pm

        • Tim
To obtain a cyanide capsule at the end of the war was your own choice, either through your Army Doctor or even a first aid man.. I requested mine prior to entering Czechoslovakia April 1945, had it removed from its brass container and sewn into the collar of my tunic.
The general fear was to be captured by partisans and usually tortured . [Their women were the worst]
Although with hands bound in my back I was able to bite into my capsule and suck the poison – it never came to that!

  5. What’s the blue color?

    Comment by eah — June 30, 2017 @ 1:22 pm

    • You wrote: “What’s the blue color?”

The blue color is the stain made by the use of Zyklon-B, which was used as a disinfectant to kill lice, not as a poison to kill the Jews.

      Comment by furtherglory — June 30, 2017 @ 2:27 pm

    • the use of Zyklon-B

Yeah but it is claimed that people were gassed in that room, right? — even Herr Stolpmann claims that, if I understand correctly — let’s assume this is true — so why are there ferro-cyanic stains in the Majdanek gas chamber, but not in the claimed gas chambers at Auschwitz I and A-B? — was the Majdanek gas chamber also used as a disinfectant chamber? (this has never been claimed for Auschwitz) — the delousing rooms at A-B are (still today) heavily stained with the blue color of ferro-cyanic compounds (they are very durable and do not weather away).

      Comment by eah — June 30, 2017 @ 2:59 pm

      • It is claimed that this particular room was also used for delousing as well – as you speculate. There aren’t alot of gassing allegations for Majdanek nowadays. The alleged murders are mostly by other means.

But the formation of Prussian Blue is not well understood, anyway; it might or might not form in a delousing room.
