Hitlersplain — your new word for the day

I found your new word for today in this news article: https://www.vox.com/the-big-idea/2017/5/4/15538798/holocaust-american-memory-trump-spicer-history

This quote is from the news article:

Begin quote

During the opening months of the first Gulf War in 1990, President George H.W. Bush asserted that Saddam Hussein had used human shields on strategic targets, a kind of “brutality that I don’t believe Adolf Hitler ever participated in.” Five years later, New York City Congress member Charles Rangel equated Republicans’ social policies toward minorities with the treatment of Jews under Hitler, and his fellow representative, Major Owens, declared Republicans “worse than Hitler.”

The impulse to Hitlersplain existed across much of the 20th century, starting as far back as Rep. John Robison of Kentucky, who claimed that FDR’s New Deal “treated our citizens worse than Hitler treated the Jews in Germany.” Posted into the congressional debate record in 1939, Robison’s indictment predated the Holocaust itself — not that that made the argument any less foolish.

End quote

The news article also mentions General Eisenhower’s visit to the Ohrdruf camp. I wrote about the Ohrdruf camp on my website: http://www.scrapbookpages.com/Ohrdruf/index.html

Begin quote from news article:

That April, Allied Commander General Dwight D. Eisenhower paid a visit to the camp at Ohrdruf, Germany, afterwards cabling to his superior, General George C. Marshall, the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in Washington, that he wanted “to be in a position to give first-hand evidence of these things if ever, in the future, there develops a tendency to charge these allegations merely to ‘propaganda.'” He called for a contingent of press and elected representatives to visit the same month, and these accounts formed the core of the first chapter in postwar American interpretation of the Holocaust.

Hint — today is that Nazi’s birthday.  There are a lot of regular readers of my blog who are probably rolling on the floor laughing because this one is so easy.

So here are the rules.  If you think this question is too easy, don’t give the answer, just give a helpful hint, and let some of my new younger readers have a chance to give the answer.

calling Trump a Nazi is a new kind of Holocaust denial

You can read about Trump and Holocaust denial in this recent news article: http://www.spiked-online.com/newsite/article/calling-trump-a-nazi-is-its-own-kind-of-holocaust-denial/19433#.WJzonRBNF4s

The following quote is from the news article:

President Trump has done some rash, bad things since he took power three weeks ago. But his critics have done something rasher. Something even more bereft of reason than Trump’s orders and tweets. Something more likely to stoke prejudice.

They’ve reduced the Holocaust to a meme.

They have used and abused the greatest crime in history to underscore their contempt for Trump, comparing him to Hitler, talking of his travel ban in the same breath as the Nazis’ persecution of Jews, warning darkly that ‘we know how this ends’. And in the process they’ve relativised the Holocaust. They’ve normalised it. They have dented its gravity and uniqueness by presenting it as a routine, recurring feeling in history that currently finds expression in ‘Trumpism’. They have turned the extermination of Europe’s Jews into an exclamation mark to their angst over Trump, and that is unforgivable. Morally, politically and historically, it is worse than anything Trump has done so far.

There is more than one way to deny the Holocaust. Some do it maliciously, with racist intent, arguing that the Holocaust is a hoax, an invention of Jews who wanted to secure their moral and political power in the postwar era. Others do it more thoughtlessly, with what they consider to be good intentions: they treat the Holocaust as a motif, to be wielded against any contemporary political idea or movement they find terrifying or simply don’t like. Bad people become ‘New Hitlers’, awful conflicts are said to echo the Holocaust. Holocaust dilution, we might call it. And it is a close, if sometimes unwitting, cousin of Holocaust denial.

Holocaust dilution has been rampant in media and radical circles over the past three weeks. In the overblown, sometimes even unhinged response to Trump, all sense of moral and political decorum, or basic reason, seems to have been abandoned. Journalists speak openly of ignoring Godwin’s Law in the Trump era — Godwin’s Law being the internet adage that if a web-based discussion about politics goes on long enough, someone will make a potty Hitler analogy. This grating BTL (‘below the line’) habit has now burst upwards, into actual commentary, and is embraced by the very hacks who for years sneered at the sad web-surfers who couldn’t go five minutes without typing ‘HITLER’.

End of quote from news article

Comparing someone to Hitler is the worst insult you can make.

Is Trump the new Hitler?

Adolf Hitler and Donald Trump

Adolf Hitler and Donald Trump

The following quote is from a news article which you can read in full at http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/stop-comparing-donald-trump-adolf-hitler-nazis-it-trivialises-holocaust-1605459

Begin quote

Following Trump’s travel ban on refugees and citizens from seven majority-Muslim countries, his presidency has immediately been equated with the rise of Hitler.

Perennial-loud-mouthed MP Dennis Skinner has labelled President Trump as a “fascist”. On the continent and across the Atlantic, the mayors of Madrid and Philadelphia have both compared Trump to Hitler.

Who knew that Ken Livingstone’s constant blathering on about Hitler would finally catch on?

End quote

Adolf Hitler

Adolf Hitler

The news article continues with this quote:

The SNP’s Carol Monaghan has warned that “the Holocaust didn’t start with the gas chambers” and consequently, we needn’t wait for Trump to plaster the White House in Swastikas to label him a Nazi. But while it’s true that it took Hitler a few years to pass the Nuremberg Laws, it is absurd to equate Trump’s inclination towards authoritarianism with Hitler’s rise to power. Although the 45th president’s half-hearted approach towards press freedom deserves criticism, it is hardly comparable to the 1933 Enabling Act which gave Hitler the power to pass laws without consulting the Reichstag.

Of course, the tendency to refer to the travel ban as “Trump’s ban” certainly encourages people to assume President Trump is acting in a dictatorial manner. Not only does it forget that the list of seven countries was previously drawn up by Obama, but it also ignores the fact that more Americans support the travel ban than oppose it. This isn’t Trump imposing his will on America. It is Trump carrying out an election promise.

Nazi Killer Magic (AHC)

Filed under: Germany, TV shows, Uncategorized, World War II — Tags: , , — furtherglory @ 6:44 am

I had a chance recently to watch a TV show on the American Heroes Channel, AHC, which was entitled “Nazi Killer Magic”.

Much of the show follows the typical AHC format.  It is made to look more “historical” by the flashing of a series of dates, which will be familuar to more sophisticated viewers. These dates are then followed by stock footage, which AHC seems to use again and again, in show after show.

I am particularly interested in Rudolf Hess and his relation to astrology and the occult.

Begin list of dates and players:

March 20th 1945 – Final assault on Berlin begins.  The show claims that Gobbles, the third Reich’s biggest skeptic turns to Astrology.

November 30th 1945 – Nuremberg trials, the show claims that any reference to the occult is forbidden from being admitted into evidence.

March 1917 – Story about how Hitler moved away from his fellow solders as if guided by divine providence, moments before a shell strikes.  (I have been trying to find the account of this incident in Mein Kampf but can’t seem to find it)

Erik Jan HanussenNamed as famous occultist in TV show.  Show claims that Hanussen was Hitler’s speaking coach. It is later reveled that he was a jew.

January 30th 1933 – Hitler comes to power.

Febuary 27th 1933 – Reichstag fire which the show claims Hanussen predicted.  He is killed soon after.

March 12th 1938 – Anschluss with Austria, first mention of the “spear of destiny“.

September 1st 1939 – given as the start of world war two, when England and France declare war on Germany.

November 1939 – Failed assassination attempt on Hitler.

Karl Ernst KraftAstrologer – the show mentions that Goebbels, with Kraft’s help, is using predictions of Nostradamus for propaganda purposes.

Alister Crowleymentioned as inventor of the V for victory sign used in England.

Minute 19 into the program

Here was one part of the show I actually found interesting.

The show claims that  British intelligence officers were targeting Hess, planting information that the stars were beckoning him to come to Germany.

Interestingly, the show claims that the name of the British “black ops” mission was “Operation Mistletoe.”

I had never heard these claims about British black ops astrologers targeting Hess before.  I am currently researching David Irving’s writing on the subject of Hess’s flight to Scotland.

Aktion Hess – The show talks about how after Hess flew to Scotland, all of the Astrologers in Germany were rounded up.  The show did have a good quip from Gobbles on the subject.  “Surprisingly not one of them predicted it.”

Hanns Hörbiger – World Ice Theory

June 22nd 1941 – Invasion of Russia, show claims timing of invasion based on Hanns Hörbiger .

December 1941 – Germans turned back at the gates of Moscow.  Lack of winter clothing recanted.

1943  World Ice Theory blamed, Hitler dreams that V2 rockets will hit Ice in space and supposedly cancels V2 program for a while.

Winter 1944 – Spring 1945 Werewolf program,  the show includes images of medieval Werewolves interspersed with actual Hitler Youth partisans.  It claims that the name of this program is rooted in the occult.

I think this part of the show might really appeal to Twitards.

March 23rd 1945, sound of wolf howling played on German radio.

Febuary 1945 -defeat inevitable, astrologers brought in.

Almost lastly, the show claims that Hitler’s death was a magical act, in view of the fact that he wanted his body to be burned.

April 25th 1945 – Show recounts Patton’s recapture of the spear of destiny in Nuremberg.  Claims that Patton believed in the spear of destiny.  Show recounts how the spear was placed six years earlier in a vault under the chapel in the castle in Nuremberg.

November 30th 1945. (again) Show recounts how Hess was not allowed to make a statement.  “Hess was silenced, and they Silenced forever” (at least they got that part right!)

That was the end of the show.

For those interested in further research it is interesting to note that Wikipedia currently takes a very skeptical view of Nazi occult theory.

Should American students learn anything about Hitler?

Filed under: Germany, Holocaust, Uncategorized, World War II — Tags: , , — furtherglory @ 9:38 am

The reason that I am asking if American schools should teach anything about Hitler, and the history of Nazi Germany, is because I have just read a news article in which this question is discussed: http://www.wfmynews2.com/news/local/parents-upset-over-school-project-that-includes-dressing-up-like-hitler/384650275

Adolf Hitler is one of the most famous persons in History, if not THE most famous person in History. American students should know this about him:

Hitler killed 6 million Jews! or was it 1.5 million? Whatever the number, you can’t kill Jews and expect to be honored as an important person in history!

If you kill even one Jew, you will forever be hated and reviled the world over, until the end of time. The Jews will see to that!

The number one rule, in any country, is MUST LOVE JEWS!

Here’s my suggestion: I think that American students should be shown the famous movie made by Leni Riefenstahl, which is entitled “Triumph of the Will”. This is a movie about the rise of Hitler. Hint: Hitler was a self made man! He was born the lowest of the low, and rose to be the man most loved, and most hated, in history.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triumph_of_the_Will

In this movie, students will see old film clips in which Hitler is shown being cheered by millions of people as he rides through the streets of Germany, with no protection from the crowds of people, who are cheering him and throwing flowers at this feet.

The sad truth is that Hitler was more loved, and more admired than any other man in history — until the Jews got their revenge and made him into the most hated man in the world.

Regular viewers of the History Channel will recognize the marble reviewing stand at the Zeppelin Field, shown in my photograph below:

The place where Hitler used stand as he reviewed his troops

My photo of the place where Hitler stood as he reviewed his troops

This is the place where the Nazi swastika was blown up by the Allies in a symbolic display of victory over the Nazis on April 24, 1945.

The film clip of the dynamiting of the swastika has been shown thousands of time on American TV.

On the central promontory, which is the speaker’s stand, where Hitler used to give his speeches, you can still make out the faint outline of another swastika which was removed from the marble by the American military.

Inside the Golden Hall, at the Zeppelin Field, a gold mosaic swastika has been left on the ceiling as a grim reminder of Germany’s dark past.

Why are so many people comparing Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler?

You can read a recent news article, which compares Trump to Hitler, at http://www.dnaindia.com/world/report-horrors-of-the-holocaust-2283664

The following quote is from the news article:

Begin quote

The recent controversy in the USA over the selection of President-elect Donald Trump by Time Magazine as its ‘Person of the Year’ has seen critics drawing comparisons with a similar selection in the past featuring Nazi leader Adolf Hitler as the Man of the Year in 1938. Though one would not wish to get entangled in the current political debate, one recalls another controversial figure chosen by Time on the cover of its weekly in October 1943, Heinrich Himmler described by the cover as ‘the Police Chief of Nazi Europe’ with a chilling quote, ‘The dead do not speak’.

End quote

The Time magazine cover shows a photo of the person who has had the most impact on the news in the previous year. Sometimes, the person of the year is a woman. The most famous example of this was when a woman, who had had her nose cut off, was chosen as the person of the year.

The news article continues with this quote:

Begin quote

Heinrich Himmler was the chief architect of a sinister program designed by the Nazis (members of ‘Nationalsozialistishe Deutsche Arbeiterpartei’ ‘National Socialist German Worker’s Party’) to wipe out the entire Jewish population of Europe through planned detention of Jews in Nazi concentration camps where after initial torture and starvation, they were killed by ingeniously evil methods of mass extermination. The entire operation was later termed as ‘The Holocaust’ (Greek Holokauston referring to the sacrifice of an animal by fire) in the 1950s while the Jews used the Hebrew word, ‘Ha Shoah’ meaning ‘The Catastrophe’ to describe one of the world’s biggest and most systematic pogroms aimed at cleansing Europe of Jews and other minorities. The Holocaust which was termed as the ‘Final Solution (for the Jewish Problem)’ by the Nazis ended in the death of 60 lakh Jews including 11 lakh children. It sought to draw legitimacy from a popular but warped theory of population control called ‘Eugenics’ (Greek ~ Eu – well genos ~ born) which called for the promotion of breeding between people of ‘desired genetic traits’ (read ‘White Aryans’) with the limitation of breeding between people with ‘undesirable genetic traits’ (read Jews and other ethno-religious minorities) through sterilisation. Eugenics for the Nazis became the ‘social philosophy’ for creation of an ideal race of Aryans with the elimination of the ‘lesser races’ through mass murders approved by Hitler and executed by Himmler and his associates.

The Nazis began the prosecution [persecution] of Jews as soon as they assumed power in 1933 with a call for the boycott of Jewish businesses with posters in German pronouncing ‘Die Juden sind unser Unglück’ meaning ‘The Jews are our bad luck’; thus encouraging state-sponsored hate crimes against the community. The Nazis stepped up the persecution by bringing in the ‘Nuremberg Laws’ which barred Jews from holding public offices and mixing with other Germans. The Nuremberg Laws became a precedent for further anti-Jew legislation and anti-Semitic policies in the coming years. Unsurprisingly, violent activities against Jews began and culminated into what has been termed as the ‘Kristallnacht’ or ‘The Night of the broken glass’.

End quote

Is there any valid comparison between Trump and Hitler? I don’t think so. Hitler is famous for killing Jews. Trump loves Jews. His daughter has converted to the Jewish religion and she is married to a Jew. They will both be participating in Trump’s term as president.

Trump was born rich; Hitler was a self-made man, who was born poor.

how to get a head

This photo allegedly shows Hitlers head

This photo shows Hitler’s head, but is it a real head?

The photo above might show the head of a statue of Hitler, but I am sure that Hitler’s real head is not in the photo. Hitler allegedly killed himself in his bunker in Berlin, and his body was burned beyond recognition.

On this blog post, I wrote about George Elser, the man who allegedly tried to kill Hitler, but failed: https://furtherglory.wordpress.com/tag/attempt-to-kill-hitler/

Did Germany really start World War II?

I have been having a lengthy discussion, with one of the regular readers of my blog, about who started World War II, Germany or Poland?

Here is the kosher version of the start of World War II, from this kosher website:
