When you google “best Holocaust historian”, what do you get?

Filed under: David Irving, Germany, Holocaust, Uncategorized — Tags: , , — furtherglory @ 6:16 am

http://forward.com/fast-forward/371700/looking-for-a-holocaust-historian-google-suggests-leading-holocaust-denier/

According to the news article, cited above, the answer that you get from google is first David Irving and then Deborah Lipstadt.

The following quote is from the news article:

Begin quote

David Irving is certainly a Holocaust historian, I guess. But mostly, he’s “antisemitic and racist,” as an English judge once called him, and a leading denier of the Holocaust. He was even jailed in Austria for more than year for Holocaust denial, which is a crime there.

The search turns up plenty of Holocaust historians with sterling records, as well — Deborah Lipstadt, the former Forward columnist who Irving once sued for calling him a Holocaust denier, is the second result. I think I’ll call her instead.

End quote

David Irving is a walking encyclopedia and he knows history backwards and forwards, but he is not a Holocaust expert. Deborah Lipstadt is a hateful Jew who knows nothing about anything.

If you want to find the best Holocaust expert, I would suggest that you google “best Holocaust denier” to find the answer to this question. The term THE Holocaust is not a true account of history.

Denial is back in the news

Filed under: David Irving, Holocaust, movies, Uncategorized — Tags: , , — furtherglory @ 1:37 pm

Denial is back in the news and I don’t mean a river in Egypt. I am writing about a movie about the Holocaust, which has the title “Denial.”

You can read about it in this news article:

http://www.stuff.co.nz/entertainment/film/91395674/denial-director-mick-jackson-tells-how-he-touched-the-holocaust-with-his-hands

The following quote is from the news article, cited above:

Begin quote

Denial opens in New Zealand cinemas on April 13.

It wasn’t that the holocaust touched  British filmmaker Mick Jackson, more that he touched it.

That’s what persuaded the former The Bodyguard and LA Story director to return to big screen filmmaking after 14 years to make Denial.

Based on Holocaust scholar Deborah Lipstadt’s book History on Trial: My Day in Court with a Holocaust Denier, it dramatists her defence against David Irving’s charges of libel. He claimed she was part of a worldwide conspiracy attempting to discredit him as a historian.

Friedrich Paulus

Filed under: David Irving, Germany, World War II — Tags: , , — furtherglory @ 9:33 am

Bundesarchiv Bild 183-B24575, Friedrich Paulus.jpg

(January 22) What did this German General do on this day in history?  Here is the answer.

David Irving wrote about Paulus on page 557 of the 2002 version of his book entitled “Hitler’s war”.

Begin quote

On January 22 the Russians again called on Paulus to surrender.  Hitler remarked that the Russians would abide by no conventions – no prisoners would survive long; on the other hand, every day the Sixth Army fought on would help to stabilize the other fronts.  Paulus radioed a dignified, even fatalistic, response to Hitler’s instructions: ‘Your orders are being executed.  Long live Germany.’

End quote

On January 31 Paulus surrendered.  David Irving wrote about Paulus  on page 559 of “Hitler’s war”.

Begin quote:

Defying tradition Paulus had surrendered, as had eleven German and five Romanian generals.  Hitler was thunderstruck.  He could never forgive this field marshal because he had lacked the routine courage of every captain who had gone down with his ship; because  he had not mustered the same bravery as had a score of Soviet commissars and commanders in identically hopeless situations.  “The others stick together, form a phalanx, and keep the last bullet for themselves.  Imagine, even a woman with an ounce of pride in herself, will lock herself in and put a bullet in her brain just because she has heard a few insulting words! …Here is a man who can look on while fifty or sixty thousand of his troops are dying and defending themselves with courage to the end – how can he give himself up to the Bolsheviks?

End quote.

David Irving now claims that Jews were gassed in the little red house and the little white house

My 2005 photo of the ruins of the little white house

My 2005 photo of the ruins of the little white house at Auschwitz-Birkenau

Before the construction of four large gas chambers at Auschwitz-Birkenau was completed in 1943, the gassing of the Jews allegedly took place in two old farmhouses, described as “the little white house” and “the little red house.”

The little red house was located north of where the fourth gas chamber, called Krema V, was built at Auschwitz-Birkenau. This house was completely destroyed by the Nazis and nothing remains of it today.

The little red house is now claimed to have been the site of the first gassing of the Jews at Birkenau, beginning in March 1942. The little white house was allegedly put into operation as a gas chamber in June 1942.

One of the readers of my blog has alerted me to the news story that David Irving is now confirming that Jews were gassed in the little red house and the little white house. You can read about this at https://forum.codoh.com/viewtopic.php?t=6999

In the past, I have written at length about the location of the little red house and the little white house, which David Irving confirmed several years ago.

You can read about the little white house on my website at http://www.scrapbookpages.com/AuschwitzScrapbook/History/Articles/Birkenau03.html

You can read about the location of the little red house on my blog at https://furtherglory.wordpress.com/2013/01/04/the-location-of-the-little-red-house-the-first-gas-chamber-at-auschwitz-birkenau/

On the blog post, cited above, you can see a video of David Irving at the site of the little red house. Irving is doing his best to save his reputation so that he can sell his books.

Understanding the movie entitled “Denial”

Scene from movie entitled Denial

Here is the plot of the movie entitled “Denial”:

In 1996, an American historian, Deborah Lipstadt, was sued by a British historian, David Irving, over Lipstadt’s claim that Irving was a liar and a falsifier of history.

In his books and lectures, Irving had contended that Auschwitz had no gas chambers. In bringing the suit, Irving charged that Lipstadt had damaged his career and his reputation.

The following quote is from a news article which you can read in full at http://www.dispatch.com/content/stories/life_and_entertainment/2016/10/21/1-movie-review-denial-plainly-told-story-of-holocaust-libel-case-fascinates.html

Begin quote:

….because Lipstadt’s allegedly libelous comments are unambiguous and because she and her publisher don’t want to settle, she and her lawyers need to prove two things or lose the case:

• That Irving’s Auschwitz writings were inaccurate.

• That he did it intentionally, for the purpose of pushing an anti-Semitic agenda.

End quote

I have seen this movie, and I don’t think that it will win any awards.

Should Holocaust denial be a crime? Debra Lipstadt says “No”

Filed under: David Irving, Germany, Holocaust, Uncategorized — Tags: , , — furtherglory @ 9:45 am

According to Wikipedia, Holocaust denial is against the law in 14 European countries:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laws_against_Holocaust_denial

In this recent news story, Deborah Lipstadt explains why Holocaust denial should not be against the law:  http://forward.com/the-assimilator/333780/deborah-lipstadt-explains-why-holocaust-denial-shouldnt-be-a-crime/?attribution=blog-article-related-1-headline

Holocaust historian Deborah Lipstadt slammed leaders of the Claims Conference, but predicted no one will be held accountable for dropping the ball on a $57 million fraud case

Holocaust historian Deborah Lipstadt slammed leaders of the Claims Conference, but predicted no one will be held accountable for dropping the ball on a $57 million fraud case

The following quote is from the news article, cited above:

Begin quote

Famous Holocaust historian Deborah Lipstadt opposed criminalization of Holocaust denial in a debate at the Oxford Union Society last month, which is shown in the video below. Even after years of fighting a libel suit filed against her in 1996 by Holocaust denier David Irving, Lipstadt says she is not in favor of laws against Holocaust denial.

“I support this motion Mr. President, because I am convinced that freedom of speech means nothing unless it includes the freedom for offensive people to be offensive,” she says. “We who are offended by them, must accept that, as a cost of living in a free society.”

In the video, she details her strong opinions on freedom of speech and why Holocaust criminalization will not benefit the cause against Holocaust deniers.

End quote

Now that I have permission from Deborah Lipstadt, I will continue to deny the Holocaust.

The name Lipstadt is the name of the town in Germany, from which Deborah’s ancestors came. My German ancestors came from a town in Germany that was only a few miles from the town of Lipstadt, but Deborah and I are world’s apart in our thinking.

I have met David Irving twice and have heard him speak on each occasion. Sadly, Irving is now only a shadow of his former self, and can no longer defend himself against people like Deborah Lipstadt.

Rachel Weiss will play Deborah Lipstadt in new movie

Rachel Weiss will play Deborah Lipstadt in new movie

A news story, which you can read in full here, has this headline:

She had to prove the Holocaust happened

How does one prove that something happened? It either happened or it didn’t.

Deborah Lipstadt

Deborah Lipstadt

The news article begins with this quote:

Begin quote

ATLANTA – You’ll need your imagination for this one. [You can say that again.]

At issue is that it’s hard to imagine anyone having to prove in a court of law that the Holocaust happened [the way that the Jews say that it did].

Deborah Lipstadt did it, though, and her story has been made into a film called “Denial,” set to be released in New York on Sept. 30 and nationwide on Oct. 21.

Lipstadt, a professor of modern history and Jewish Holocaust studies at Emory University, was sued by prominent Holocaust denier and British historian David Irving in the 1990s, according to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency. The film and her book that it’s based on, “History on Trial: My Day in Court with a Holocaust Denier,” recount how Irving sued Lipstadt for libel in England for calling him a “Holocaust denier.”

End quote

Of course, the Holocaust HAPPENED, but did it happen the way that David Irving wrote that it did, or did it happen the way that Debra thinks that it did.

David Irving

David Irving

I’m with David Irving on this one. I have met him. He’s a walking encyclopedia, as I have said many times. However, he is now old and senile, as am I. He will not be able to defend himself adequately now.

students and professors create a replica of an Auschwitz gas chamber

The title of my blog post today comes from a news article, which you can read in full at http://www.therecord.com/news-story/6694371-touching-the-horrors-of-auschwitz/

The following quote is from the news article, cited above:

The [Auschwitz-Birkenau] gas chambers’ heavy, airtight doors were completely destroyed at the war’s end, as were the columns used to release hydrogen cyanide inside, killing millions in concentration camps. [which camps other than Auschwitz-Birkenau?]

[…]

Proving the Holocaust happened became crucial to the [court] case [against David Irving] and Van Pelt used his expertise as an architectural historian to navigate through the proof: blueprints, letters written by Nazi architects and engineers, photos and contractors’ bills.

He [Van Pelt] wrote a book about it afterwards called “The Case for Auschwitz: Evidence from the [David] Irving Trial.”

“We knew this was something that needed to be done,” said Michael Nugent, an architecture student who was responsible for building the gas column replicas.

“It’s an important part of history that needed to be remembered.”

[…]

Based on blueprints, construction documents, architects’ letters and photographs, The Evidence Room brings forensic evidence of the Holocaust to life in the form of harrowing white plaster casts and monuments in a pure white room.

“What we wanted to do was [to] create a room people can touch. … We want people to touch everything,” said Robert Jan van Pelt, a UW architecture professor who worked on the exhibit.

He said the tangible nature of the exhibit makes it difficult to ignore.

“There will be no explanation of these things,” van Pelt said. “Really the idea is that we in some way relate with this, or the visitor relates to it through the gut.”

The architectural exhibit opens at La Biennale, an international architectural exhibition in Venice on Saturday.

Two constructed gas columns, an airtight hatch with a ladder and a heavy, gasproof door sit in the centre of the eerily white makeshift room.

The physical pieces of evidence cast in plaster by van Pelt and his team tell the story of what millions of people saw before they were killed.

End quote

Excuse me! Something is missing in this story!

Auschwitz-Birkenau was a huge place; it was 425 acres in size! The map below shows the location of the alleged homicidal gas chambers. Why have such a huge camp for the purpose of gassing people? And why weren’t the gas chambers hidden from view by people walking through the camp?

Map of the Auschwitz- Birkenau

Map of the Auschwitz-Birkenau shows gas chamber buildings in red and disinfection chambers in orange

At the bottom of the map shown above, the train tracks can be seen going through an opening in the gate house on the left side of the drawing. Parallel to the tracks is the Hauptstrasse, or the main street of the camp. On the left side of the main street are the women’s barracks with two disinfection chambers shown in orange in between the two sections of women’s barracks.

Are you begining to see something wrong here? Why have such a huge camp, just to kill people, and then have disinfection chambers to kill the lice in the clothing of the prisoners who were waiting to be killed?

All of the gas chambers should have been used to kill the Jews; this would have eliminated the waiting of the Jews to die, as shown in the photo below.

Women and children waiting for their turn in the gas chamber

Women and children waiting for their turn in the Auschwitz-Birkenau gas chamber

The women and children in the photo above are looking across the road toward the place where the Sauna building is located. The Sauna building had a shower room for incoming prisoners, and huge ovens where the clothing of the prisoners was disinfected with hot steam.

You can read the full story of Auschwitz-Birkenau on my website at http://www.scrapbookpages.com/AuschwitzScrapbook/History/Articles/Birkenau01.html

Don’t worry, the above web page is kosher, and suitable for both deniers and True Believers.

Robert Jan van Pelt proves the use of gas chambers in the Holocaust — again!

Robert Jan van Pelt is back in the news. You can read the news about him here: http://www.cbc.ca/radio/q/schedule-for-wednesday-march-2-2015-1.3472195/chilling-exhibit-the-evidence-room-recreates-a-nazi-gas-chamber-1.3472244

Peephole in the door of a gas chamber

Robert Jan Van Pelt claims this is a photo of a peephole in the door of a homicidal gas chamber at Auschwitz

The quote is from the news article:

Begin quote

Professor and Holocaust expert Robert Jan van Pelt was one of her [Deborah Lipstadt’s] key witnesses [in David Irving’s lawsuit against Lipstadt for libel.]

He’s [Robert Jan van Pelt] now heading one of Canada’s contributions to the upcoming Venice Architecture Biennale, and it emerges directly from the Irving case.

[…]

The Evidence Room was the combined effort of a team of students and faculty of the University of Waterloo School of Architecture headed by Anne Bordeleau, Sascha Hastings, Donald McKay, and [Robert Jan] van Pelt.

It features life-sized replicas and casts of key pieces described in his [Robert Jan van Pelt’s] testimony about Auschwitz, including a gas column, gas door, a section of wall with a gas-tight hatch and other items that definitively proved the site was a factory of death.

End quote

I have never seen this alleged photograph of a gas chamber peephole before, even though I have studied the Holocaust extensively.

Peephole in Dachau gas chamber

My photo of the alleged peephole in the Dachau gas chamber

The alleged gas chamber in the Auschwitz main camp had a peephole, which was installed in the outside door into the room when it was turned into a bomb shelter for the SS men. I believe that the so-called gas chamber in the Auschwitz main camp was actually a morgue where bodies were stored before they were burned in the ovens in the room next door.

Air Raid shelter door has a peephole

Air Raid shelter door peephole in the alleged Auschwitz gas chamber

The peep hole, shown in the photo above, was for the German SS men to look out, after a bombing raid, to see if it was safe to come out of the Auschwitz “gas chamber” after a bombing raid.

Ovens in Auschwitz crematorium were right next to the alleged gas chamber

Ovens in Auschwitz crematorium were right next to the alleged gas chamber

My 1998 photo, shown above, illustrates that the alleged gas chamber in the Auschwitz main camp was right next to the cremation ovens, which would have caused an explosion if this was actually a gas chamber.

New movie about Deborah E. Lipstadt currently being filmed

Deborah E. Lipstadt gives a thumps up after her victory over David Irving in court

You can read about a new movie, that is currently being filmed, in this news article:  http://deadline.com/2015/12/andrew-scott-cast-denial-rachel-weisz-holocaust-drama-1201661837/

Debra Lipstadt is shown in the center of photo, next to Dick Chaney, at the Auschwitz main camp

Deborah E. Lipstadt is shown in the center of photo, standing next to Dick Chaney, at Auschwitz

I blogged about Deborah E. Lipstadt in these two previous blog posts, both of which you can read at:

https://furtherglory.wordpress.com/tag/deborah-lipstadt/

This quote is from the news article, cited above:

Principal photography started this week in London on Denial, the Mick Jackson-directed adaptation of Deborah E. Lipstadt’s book, History On Trial: My Day In Court With A Holocaust Denier. Rachel Weisz, Tom Wilkinson and Timothy Spall star and have now been joined by Spectre and Sherlock‘s Andrew Scott.

David Hare did the adaptation of the book which recounts Lipstadt’s legal battle for historical truth against David Irving, who accused her of libel when she declared him a Holocaust Denier. In the English legal system, the burden of proof is on the accused; therefore, it was up to Lipstadt and her legal team to prove the essential truth that the Holocaust happened. Scott joins the cast in the role of solicitor Antony Julius.

Did you catch that, dear readers?  Deborah E. Lipstadt proved in a court of law that the Holocaust happened, just as the Jews say that it did.  And if you say that the Holocaust didn’t happen, you can be thrown into prison for 5 years or more in 19 different countries. So just stick with Deborah E. Lipstadt, who knows all. Don’t try to contradict her, or she will sue you in a court of law.

Lipstadt is the name of a town in Germany.  Some of my German ancestors came to America from Lipstadt, where they had lived for years. Deborah E. and I could be distant relatives, for all I know.
