According to an article on the Huffington Post, Elie Wiesel recently showed his tattoo. This quote is from the article:
[Elie Wiesel] pulls back his left jacket sleeve to reveal a Nazi death camp number tattooed on his forearm as he sits comfortably in his Manhattan office for an interview.
“Usually I don’t show it,” he says.
One of the exceptions was a 2009 visit to the Buchenwald death camp Wiesel survived, with President Barack Obama and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
So Elie Wiesel has had a tattoo on his left arm since at least 2009. This will be big news for those who are following the Elie Wiesel Cons the World blog.
This YouTube video shows Elie Wiesel walking around the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp and no tattoo is visible on his arm.

I’ve seen tattoos on survivors and they were greatly faded with time. It would not necessarily be visible from a distance nor even on the outside of his arm. As I recall, the two I saw were both on the inside of the wrist.

If Elie Weisel’s tattoo is nonexistent, wouldn’t another survivor who was with him at the camps come forward to proclaim him a fraud long ago? It’s foolish to question this issue as it’s blatantly obvious that he was a prisoner and suffered like all the others based on the world famous photo of him that anyone studying the Holocaust has seen 100 times. Shame on you all for being so petty and condemning of a victim of this horrific time in history.

I have been to the Dallas Holocaust Museum and the National Holocaust Museum in DC. I have spoken to a handful of survivors at both of these places; and I have had survivors speak to my students on campus. I have never asked to see a number, as I feel that could be intrusive; however, I have noticed numbers and they have been of differing sizes. About half were smaller than I might imagine, say about 1/4″. Easily unnoticeable, especially if one is careful to keep it private.

it could be on the bottom part of his forearm but, like said before its to big not to be noticed. So Elie probably a fraud. But who am i it’s my opinion…,

It could very well be under his watch, which he wears fairly high on his arm.
